The best part about the Kindle Fire stick is the ability to side load programs from Google Play (such as the Tivo App). It doesn't try to lock you out, unlike some other options that require rooting. Just drop the app on the fire using a wireless file transfer, and you're halfway there. The Fire stick also supports XBMC, and supports mice apps to allow you to use HBOGo and Tivo, which can be really nice in a $35 stick, given that Tivo's other option is a $149 box. My only complaint is the truncated Miracast support. Phones work, but ultrabook PCs and some tablets won't, and that's a bit of a shame.

This is a great device to have. I use it every day, plugged it into my Insignia tv and get the best quality picture the tv can produce! It does lag occasionally though, which could be attributed to my old router.

We love the firestick for how small it is. We can take it on trips, use it at hotels, switch it between TVs. It's reliable and very easy to use.

Easy to install, even for we seniors...convenient and economical...all the TV programs, movies, apps etc....I'm all set for hours of streaming.

I love my Roku... but this Fire Stick may quickly become my streamer on the side!!! Easy setup, and incredibly fast. This is definitely the way to go!

Easy to connect. Love that you can take it anywhere you go. Small and compact. My family loves it. Being able to add Kodi to it is a big plus.

I purchased the Fire Stick because my 7 year old grandson was visiting for a few weeks. Our service provider said if I wanted cable in his room I would have to sign another two year contract. I couldn't see paying that fee. With the fire stick, I downloaded his channels and he could watch whatever he wanted as well as play games on the tv. He was so happy! He had no problems getting to where he wanted to go using the remote. Great product.

I purchased the Fire stick so that I could watch Amazon Prime movies on my television, instead of on the Kindle Fire. It was easy to install and use. I enjoy watching movies and the kids enjoy using the apps, music and all other features that it has to offer. It's nice to have a one time purchase price and I just have to renew Amazon Prime once per year. That's all the cost that is involved. As long as you have Wifi and a HD tv.

Great device for the price. A++ The unit is easy to set up and support the dual bands 2.4Ghz & 5 Ghz. The best streaming device for that price.

So far I love the firestick. Way better than Chromecast in my opinion. I am able to stream my Beachbody workouts through the app available.

Bought this because I already have an Apple TV. I think this is a very cool product has a lot of unique features and I love to be able to airplay as well. Very easy set up and I like that it is a thumb drive.

Bottom line? This is the best streaming device for the dollar(In my humble opinion) It's cheap, it handles netflix/prime/hboGo/plex/games/a lot more & doesn't seem much slower than the full firetv box. You can use any of the thousands of paid and/or free apps such as netflix, amazon prime, hulu, plex, news, digital fireplace, etc... There's a ton you can do. With some extra effort you can sideload things like Kodi and 3rd party apps. It's super simple to use, and the image quality can be great if your internet connection is fast.

This is just what I wanted! It was easy to set up and gives me the ability to watch amazon programming as well as Netflix! Worth the money!

I have a smart tv and always wondered wether this device was any good and if i needed it. I bought it, and have been in love with it completely, considering that there is so much to amazon fire stick than what meets the eye. I've been able to upload my pics to amazon photos and see it on my tv, access to espn is a added bonus and is free so is HBO and other channels. Also my TV did'nt support Amazon so accessing movies is now a breeze

Works great, good quality, easy set up. Streaming HD will depend on the source (your router) and your internet speed. The wireless AC of the Fire Stick works great. I mainly use for streaming-video. Install KODI to add more streaming options outside of King Amazon. I have not played any heavy games, but casual games work fine. There are several Fire TV Sticks apps for installing non approved apps outside of the Amazon App Store. To the best of my knowledge and I done a lot of research there is no rooting of this device via software.

My bluray player died on me and this is the perfect swap out. It doesn't add clutter and the remote is FANTASTIC. I love how simple it is.

Love the fire stick. Compared to chromecast I feel it has a lot more capabilities and apps. Easy to use with the remote and very convenient.

I like the Fire TV Stick. It's small and it fits behind the TV, so it doesn't take any space on my tabletop and its not an eyesore. I really like the remote control. It works on radio frequency rather than infrared, so you can control the stick without having to point it at a receptor. As expected, it streams well and has lots of apps you can load. However, it does crash every so often, and you need to unplug it to reset it, but it still a good streaming stick.
