I couldn't get this thing to work until I moved it to another tv closer to my wi-fi source. Once I got it set up, I moved it back to my other tv (further away from wi-fi source) and it works fine. After about a week of inactivity it wouldn't respond to the remote. I unplugged it from power to give it a chance to think about its future in my household. Replugged, it works fine. I decided to put it on a separate switched circuit. Now it only gets power when I want to use it instead of being on all the time (as verified by Wireless Network Watcher). I like being able to move this item to other tvs/rooms if needed. Very happy with Amazon Prime, the fire stick, and my 7" fire tablet.

Great alternative to make a HDTV a smart tv. Great for streaming PS VUE, Netflix, Pandora and Spotify.

I have tried them all and this is my absolute favorite and best bang for the buck. It has so many uses and the content is IMHO limitless. Best part is the ability to access my prime benefits.

Got this mainly because Apple took YouTube off of the AppleTV, and I needed a way to watch that as well as Amazon Prime, other than getting out my laptop. Product works great, very easy to set up, and gives me all my streaming options on one device. The user interface isn't as intuitive or streamlined as the AppleTV, but it's not complicated by any means. The wifi receiver is a bit weaker than the standalone devices, but that's to be expected, and shouldn't be an issue if you have a good router or are in close proximity. For only $40 this is a good deal on a streaming device. Definitely recommend.

Won't find a better add for your tv to "cut the cord" why pay cable or satellite tv providers big money when you can have this for a lot less and get a whole lot more. You won't be disappointed

I actually purchased this Amazon Fire Stick for my bedroom after purchasing one for my living room. I previously had the Apple TV & had a lot of issues with it, such as Netflix not always working & no YouTube. I LOVE the Amazon Fire Stick though, and as I already had Amazon it was a simple transition. Since I've had it, i've also started using the Amazon Prime for TV/Movies! It's also very portable, my friend took hers when she went on a business trip recently & had no issues.

Works great, had it up and running in minutes. Works on my old HDTV too! Runs pretty smooth thanks to the quad core processor, and it has a good amount of extra memory storage! Good job Amazon!

I love my Firestick and so does my children especially my oldest son who is amazed that he can now watch ALL his childhood favoirites. Getting 4 more. Now I'll be able to lower my cable bill.

I purchased the Amazon Fire Stick after trying the Chromecast device first. I decided to get the Fire Stick because I liked that it had a remote and that you view the Netflix choices on the tv screen verses your phone. I didn't like viewing Netflix from the small phone screen since I need glasses to see the options on the small screen. I did have to use the included extender to get a good wifi connection. It works great. haven't had any problems.

I like the fire stick because I can watch movies and shows that I have missed over the years. At first, it stopped working, but it got fixed. I would recommend this product.

Fire TV stick has everything you need to convert and display to a smart TV. Has the software, hardware. Only issue I see is to connect to a power source. Power can be drawn from the HDMI itself.

This is great for watching netflix, amazon videos, hulu. it has some cool games. I also have a google nexus tv, which i like better but the fire stick is half the price so yes, I like that!

Bought the fire stick to replace the chromecast which seemed to stop working regularly. I purchased it mainly for mirroring but have been enjoying all the shows and movies as a prime member.

Just got this device recently, and very pleased with it! Someone told me to get the box version cause it has less buffering but so far, I have noticed zero buffering problems with this device, and therefore why spend the money to over buy something when this little stick works. Not to mention you can take it on trips, and if hotel offers free WiFi then you got all your movies right there, no need to buy from hotels on-demand services. I love it!!!! PS : would give it 5 but there are apps in there that want more and more money. (I guess they got to make a buck somewhere) but its annoying.

Okay, laggy, usable by itself, not as good as chrome since it is more work to setup and there is limited devices that work with it. Expected to be able to use the amazon fire 7 (2015) $50 version, but only can second screen, which means you can only play amazon videos and pictures bought/linked to your amazon account and are essentially using the fire tablet as a remote (you could just play the video from the fire tv stick). This may be useful to mirror the fire HD tablets screens using the mirrorcast function, the second screen terminology is misleading and shouldn't require reading the fine print.

It works great! Love it! The price is good and not hard to set up at all. Great selection of movies.

Works great for streaming apps, especially PSVue, only negative is limited controller and a little lag.
