Best Buy associate recommended this as I was in the market for an item like this. I was basically considering between this, Chromecast and Apple TV. I already have an Amazon Prime account, so with the recommendation (and the many additional highlights like faster processor, more memory, etc), it was really pretty simple. It's an easy product to use. Simple to set up. Definitely great to have if you don't want to pay for premium cable service!

I bought this for my mother and set it up the other day. It is great at add smart features to an existing TV. The menu and interface is easy to use. I prefer it to my built-in menu on my 50 inch smart TV. I downloaded several apps (Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc.) and had no issue signing in and getting them to work. The remote was responsive and it was easy to type fast (no lag). I have a Roku and this seems to be very similar and just as easy to use.

Got this for $25 bucks and couldn't believe how cool it is. Now I use it more than my google chrome stick.

The Fire Stick is truly a wonderful tv accessory. We were debating between the Google Chromecast and the Fire Stick, as our parents had a Chromecast and liked it. However, the hardware specs in the Fire Stick are the reason I went with it. 3 months later, we bought 2 more for the other two TVs in our house. They are awesome and we only stream movies and shows (cable is a scam!). Have another one on order to give my Dad for Christmas :)

I read a lot about the Amazon Fire Stick, Chromecast, Apple TV, and many others. After doing the research I decided on the Amazon Fire Stick and found many others felt the same way as it was completely sold out during Christmas. I finally purchased one at Best Buy right after the holidays and it has been amazing. Installation was simple and easy. The product works smoothly and the app on my iPhone is great also. I highly recommend this product.

This is actually my second Fire Stick -- I bought the second one simply because it was a Best Buy Deal of the Day. It is such a simple device, easy to use, simple to set up. They recommend that you plug it in to a power outlet, but I just plug it into a USB port on the TV and it has always worked fine. Check to make sure you have a USB near the HDMI ports, or you will have to plug it in. I have used it for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
