We use this as a secondary streaming device in the master bedroom. Stupid simple to install(it is HDMI and also uses a supplied mini-Usb cord for aux power. Have had no real issues and connected easily and fast to both Amazon Prime and NetFlix so we are solid gold. Picked it up for about $25 on Black Friday, so also feeling pretty smart. Have not used it on the road yet (or when visiting family) but this is the way to go when we do)

I all ready owned the Amazon Fire TV box and loved it. So, I purchased the Fire stick for a second TV. The stick is just as good as the Fire TV, just less app storage. It gets all amazon app store apps and other non amazon apps can be installed such as KODI(XBMC). Lots of variety of steaming with subscriptions of such services as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Plus a nice variety of games for all ages. All & all, a great little device!

Best bang for your buck. Easy to use remote and home screen. Easy set up, practically plug in and use.

This is a very handy device for anyone who is already an Amazon Prime subscriber who would like to take full advantage of Prime video streaming. The Fire TV Stick is extremely portable and typically requires only 5 minutes to configure a WiFi connection to your TV - very handy for those who split time living at different addresses and for those extended family vacations. The included remote also makes navigating the on screen menus pretty easy - better than Apple TV in my opinion.

I purchased the Amazon stick after reading many reviews for the Roku and this product. I settled on this because I am a prime member and it's speed. It does not disappoint but the interface pushes Amazon content as you would imagine. I use this for my bedroom TV since I don't have a cable box. With the stick I don't need one, the amount of live TV apps and original content is more than enough for a secondary TV. Also if you know what you are doing you can install Kodi for some additional functionality. Overall it's a solid stick and definetly worth it if you are a prime member.

My daughter was born a few days after Christmas, so we got her a TV for Christmas and a Fire Stick for her birthday. I didn't have to run cable or hookup a video player. It took about 5-10 minutes to set up, but after that it's just plug & play. Now she can move it around to what ever room she wants to watch her shows in. "Best Christmas-Birthday ever," she said. Next year I'll expand her experience to the video games option & save money. ;-)

This is a good device, It comes with a lot of stuff that the other ones don't have. Like the USB Cable and Power Outlet, Extension HDMI Cord, although it is very small but it comes handy in case you don't want the Fire Stick so close to your tv or there is not enough space on your tv. I only had one issue with it and it was that somehow it got very hot and I have to unplug it, leave it for a couple of minutes to cool down and then connect it again and it worked again perfectly, I don't know why it happened, but at least it's been only that time. I really hope it doesn't happen again.

The firestick is a very useful streaming service for streaming all your movies,music,and pictures. I love using the device for catching up on tv shows and movies without the hassle of going to a red box or video store. You can do it from the comfort of your couch and pause when you need to so you don't miss a second of the movie. I've purchased several of these sticks for friends and family and they all enjoy it as much as i do.

Compare to the chromecast. It seems a lot faster. Also have easy access to prime videos. If anyone wondering, yes you may install 3rd party apps on this device. Comes with an easy to use remote and there's an app for androids to use your phone as the remote. iOS version of this app coming soon.

I bought this for my in-laws. My mother-in-law already has a Kindle Fire with an Amazon Prime membership, so it seemed like a slam dunk. Now instead of consuming content on her tablet, they're able to enjoy shows, movies, music, and apps from her TV. It's doesn't have the largest app store by far, but it does so much for the money. Great streaming stick for casual users or anyone who is already invested in the Amazon ecosystem.

Does what it says. Streams video and music well. Price is very inexpensive compared to cable tv.

This us an excellent device in which my self my can ly enjoy multiple viewing chooses and activities and or games at any given time night or day. Live love this purchase. Must be the best investment we have made in some time. Thanks for the conscience if shipping to my home when the store was out if stock. Amazon products have been on "fire" so don't miss out on the Amazon fire stick. No smart tv? No problem, this fire stick makes any tv a smart tv. All you need is good WiFi and this is the coolest form of entertainment. It comes with preloaded apps like Netflix and you can also add apps on there. If you have Amazon prime, you'll have the best library of music and movies and shows. What are you waiting for? Go get one already!

i was using Apple TV, but really hated the controller and youtube app. This Amazon fire stick is less than half the price but better. First of all the controller works without having to point at it cuzz it's Bluetooth. The netflix and YouTube apps are the good ones. U know what I mean. Roku is close but it's not got the little Bluetooth remote either. If you have the coin I bet the voice search on the full fire is pretty handy

We traded our Google Chromecast (which we hated) for the Fire TV Stick. So happy we made that decision. It has everything in one place. We use Slingbox in Japan...we access it through the Slingbox app on Fire. We have a Plex media server set up at home and we access it through Fire. We have Hulu, Netflix and an Amazon Prime account. All work seamlessly through Fire. It even has some great games to boot. Highly recommend!!!!

My son recommended this to me. The salesman tried to talk me out of purchasing it because I have a smart TV. He apparently does not understand how the product works. It goes beyond what my TV offers and even allows me to return my DVR as the Fire Stick keeps my preferences automatically to view when I want without limiting space. Love it for so many reasons. It pays for itself in five months after returning the DVR to Comcast.

I am a full on cord cutter, every single bit of television we watch at my house is streaming. I had three Rokus before for all my televisions but the deals on these were so I good I had to try one out. I did, and long story short I ordered two more and my Rokus are now just my backup devices. The Fire TV Stick is much faster, has better menus, better wireless connection and signal, and better image quality than the Rokus they replaced. Image quality seems odd to be improved, but it is and I believe this is due to the faster wireless and faster CPU these have. Before the shows would stream at low quality for up to five minutes before hitting full quality and now I start at full quality, or get there in less than 30 seconds. Plex works great and is a must have for any of my streamers and the Fire TV runs it better than my Rokus did by far. There is room for improvement, there could be a few more apps. It has all that we personally use but some people might want one or two that are not yet available like HBO. This will get better over time though I'm sure, Roku does have a 5-6 year lead here. Search currently only searches Amazon content and not everything. I know Amazon would prefer you get it from them via Prime, but if I have Netflix and Hulu and whatever else installed it should search there too. Other than that we are basically perfectly happy. I wish for a cheaper controller for more games that we could play, but the gaming experience is actually pretty good on the games we have tried. Ski Safari is a fun example on the Fire TV Stick we like playing. Cool device, I recommend it and prefer it over other streamers.
