With the trend of cutting the cord, there has been a surge of people trying to find the best alternative device to stream their favorite movies and tv shows. Enter Amazons Fire Stick. It's a simple plug and play device that isn't complicated to use. However, I've found that the fire stick overheats too much and in order to really take advantage of its usefulness, you need to purchase an Amazon prime account which runs about 100 bucks or so a year. However, Amazon just released an option that allows you to pay 10 bucks a month to have access to prime and 8.99 for their video service. Now they don't have all the episodes of your favorite shows and if you want that, you would subscribe to Hulu plus which would cost you more money and then Netflix, a little bit more. Also the Amazon store is ok but not as expansive as the google play store. If you want something that you can add your own apps to, you can't do it on the fire stick unless you side load which would require you to use a computer and programs which you would have to search for at your own risk. I would recommend this for kids but if you want something more, find a android tv box.

If you already have amazon prime it's awesome because you don't have to pay for the amazon original series

The Apple TV is by far the best streaming device in the market. It does everything that you want and more.

My wife and I, upon the recommendation of our daughter, purchased the Amazon Fire TV Stick and we're so glad that we did. We love having quick access to movies and TV shows all in one simple device. We spend more time using our Amazon Fire TV Stick than we do watching regular TV programming.

Fire Stick was purchased primarily for sports on Watch ESPN. Very pleased with picture quality and simply the ability to get games not available anywhere else. Bonus is all the other resources, media connections. If you have Amazon Prime and or Echo (Alexa) the Fire Stick is a big plus.

This is a good product I binge watch everything on here and I don't have to wait or deal with commercial.

My whole family loves the Amazon Fire stick we have one for every room in the house, it's easy for anyone to use my 8 year old has it mastered, Best Buy always has them in stock , it comes with batteries remote fire stick and usb extender this is by far the best product avail on the market yet !

I had to contact Amazon, and subsequently spend over an hour on the phone with 3 different people in Tech support to access my HuluPLUS & Netflix accounts. I was also disappointed to learn that despite the fact that you appear to be able to access CBS all access, you can't with this device, unless you pay additional for Amazon coins..I wasn't willing to pay again, when I already had a subscription to it. But I kept the product despite the initial issues, for the music and Netflix streaming.

Family loves this. Very convenient, has parental controls, fun games, no need to use HDMI cord and laptop. Just wish Amazon had more movie choices as part of prime.
