Cut the Cord

Can watch what I want, when I want! I don't have to go to the movie theater and pay their outrageous prices at the ticket counter and concessions. Getting these for our family members. Makes a great gift!!!

Easier to set up when you travel than Chromecast due to the way it connects to wifi. Just be sure not to forget the little remote or you won't be able to connect it for the first time to another Wifi when traveling

It is more convenient to take on trips or to a friends house for movie watching. You are also not entering your private log in and passwords when using another machine, just bring the Firestick. Works great!

Good android based platform

Featuring standard apps for the everyday user, this open source platform allows for developer apps. As in an android phone some of these can be clunky so be weary of which you look into.
