I was thinking mostly that this product would be another tie-in to the Amazon echosystem, which I proudly belong to. I initially bought for a second TV to stream AIV content but then after exploring the FIrestick capabilities a little more I realized this is a much better option than my Chromecast. PROS: faster hardware, HBO support, many hacking tutorials online to install XMBC/Kodi that make it a much more powerful platform than the one you get from out-of-the-box. It was also on sale, so no brainer. Chromecast is now collecting dust ;o)

This thing is a must have if you plan on using KODI.Def. worth the price for all the things you can do with KODI.You just have to figure out how to side load the App on to your Fire stick since it isn't available in the amazon app store.Google is your friend for this. Kodi running on this Fire stick is amazing !

Installed Kodi and worked great no hiccups or slow downs. Only issue is that it runs hot so you can't really run it all day like the fire tv.

It's a nice device to have because it's portable andu can the any tv to a smart tv

This was super easy to set up. We have a smart tv in the living room, but needed something for our bedroom. Typing with the remote is a little bit of a pain, but it streams shows, has access to all the necessary apps for a smart tv, and even has games.

I'm kind of torn between liking it and hating it to be honest. I have fire tv and fire tv stick. This seems to do 90 percent of what fire tv does but to me it actually makes tv area look more messy. By that I mean this... With regular fire tv I have it set on stand and one hdmi wire going up to tv. With fire tv stick you have it going up to tv yet power cord and hdmi extension cord (for those that have mounted tvs) hangs down and looks sloppy... Most people like me would think you just stick the stick in hdmi and it'll be powered by hdmi.

Use it for all my streaming needs. The application available are more than enough.

Easy to use quick setup and connected to app quickly. Control for pause and play work great! Remote is a good size and pretty intuitive.
