This item is easy to setup and can access movies quickly. I had it running in less than 5 minutes. You need a wireless router and an available HDMI input port on your TV if that is what you are using it on. This and my Netflix are more movies that I could ever want to watch. I only have antenna tv channels because of my location but with those available movie choices, don't need anything else.

The firetv is fast plays everything can be sideload and kodi works wonderfully.

I bought this for my 8yr old daughter's bedroom. I had thought that once you buy the stick you have access to free channels/shows which is partly true. They do have some free shows but most of the good kids shows cost money or only have 1 episode for free, so she is limited as to what she can watch. The actual performance of the product is good and we have had no issues. The setup was very easy and it's good to connect to netflix.

The Amazon Stick Fire is a complete entertainment device for your TV. It makes a regular TV become a SmartTV. Its remote improves the usability of the system. I could donwload the Amazon app in my mobile phone, so that I have an additional remote. Also, I can synchronize my phone with some apps (Youtube, for instance), and I can stream videos from my Windows Phone , iPhone and Android Tablet.

Easy setup, excellent picture, fast connection. I would recommend this product.

Works great for movies when living out where decent cable isn't yet available

I have been looking for an alternative to the high costs of cable television. I am a Direct TV customer and in trying to lower my dish bill, I have all but eliminated my programming choices. Now that my contract is up I am ready to cut the cord and the Fire Stick is a wonderful alternative. I am now viewing more programs than I was offered with my dish programming, along with many options for viewing movies. I love the Fire Stick. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because if the weather is bad and the internet goes out, so does your TV viewing. But that also happened with my dish, so it's not a big deal in comparison to what you gain in channel selections. Although it is extremely simple to switch between different TV's in your home, I will be ordering another Fire Stick for my other TV's. Love it! Wasn't too complicated to set up and is easy to navigate through.

I have a few of these and they work great. I didn't do enough research in the beginning and purchased the Google Chromecast. Once I realized how they worked (your iPad or other device has to cast Netflix, etc. to the Chromecast and on to the TV), I took them back to exchange for the Fire Stick and couldn't be happier. Small and easy to move from TV to TV or to take on vacation with you.

Great device for streaming movies/apps... You must have accounts for movie apps though... Small portable device... Great for traveling.

Bought the Amazon Fire TV stick to replace the Chromecast and I must say that this is better than the Chromecast. Having a dedicated remote was the game changer for me. I have downloaded the FireTV remote app on my Andorid Phone and Kindle and they seem to work as well. I stream Netflix movies mostly and so far the streaming experience has been good. Overall a good device that can be plugged into a TV's HDMI port. If you are looking for an Optical output to pipe the sound to a Receiver, then this is not the device for you.

I really wanted an easier way to watch Amazon Prime. I wanted the more expensive one, but this came on sale and was the only place to purchase. Out of the box it is great! I think the speed is much faster than my Blu-Ray player and Xbox for using apps like Netflix. I like how you can take anywhere with a wifi connection. I will buy another, maybe if they develop a second generation.

This fire TV stick was recommended by a friend. I was looking for an alternative to cable, and the Amazon fire TV stick lived up to my friend promise. She said the stick will not only eliminate my cable bill, but it will also take care of all of family's entertainment needs.
