Well, you guessed it. This item is absolutely best for people that have an Amazon account and more specifically Amazon Prime. With Prime, you'll have access to all their Amazon Original Programming and everything else in their catalogue. Additionally, you have access to Amazon Music. The user interface really revolves around the Amazon experience. I'm a Amazon customer, but not a Prime subscriber (but, could be soon with all the amazing products coming out from Amazon, i.e. Amazon Echo). I primarily purchased this item to get a zippier experience versus my aging Blu-Ray player streamers and our clunky Wii streaming. If you've used an Xbox360 before, you'll be very familiar with the Netflix app. It's clean and easy to use. When watching seasons, it'll automatically push forward to the next episode (which is very handy when keeping kids occupied). One of our favorite features of the stick is the gaming. We enjoy casual gaming and don't have a need for some large console gaming unit. Wow.... there's a ton of simple, fun and easy to play games that you are probably familiar with from your Android phone. And that leads me to the next point.... if you find yourself using this item for gaming, you'll notice that it must put additional wear and tear on this little remote. I can't imagine the tactile buttons lasting through push, push, push for many months. Lastly, oh my wife just loves the app! When the remote goes missing in the coach cushions, she whips out her phone and takes over to operate the device. Cons..... It's much quicker than many older devices, but I expected it to be a bit more consistently awesome with less buffering. There are times that I'm disappointed that it's either buffering or that the Netflix app has downscaled the quality to being so pixelated that I'd rather watch the show on my 5 inch phone. Overall.... great product, especially if you want to replace an aging streaming device you might have.

I love being able to stream Netflix on my TV without having a computer or game system hooked up to it. No cables running across the floor. It's great! I would recommend this to anyone! I don't use the game features, just Netflix, Pandora, YouTube and a few other apps. I really like that I can use the Fire TV stick app on my phone to make searching easier. Two thumbs up!

My family does a lot of video streaming, mostly using Netflix and Hulu. I prefer the Amazon Fire TV Stick for this purpose over the Chromecast or other competing systems. The Fire TV Stick sets up its own connection to the streaming service, so I don't need to tie up my phone or tablet to access programs or manage them, it's all done using the Fire TV Stick remote.

Great streaming device for the price. Way better than the competitors.

I have both the stick and Amazon Fire box and they're both awesome!! I own an Apple TV as well and used the stick to replace it. The only Gripe I have about the stick is apparently it doesn't have the same antenna reception as the box, so I see some "skipping" occasionally while watching if I have other devices going at the same time. I don't have this issue with the box. Still a good product though, especially for the price. If all you've got is 40 bucks than it will be spent wisely with this item.

Works well, easy to navigate menu but could be a bit faster. Hard to ask for much more for the size and price. Well worth it.

Fire stick is very easy to install and performance is same of the fire tv.

Decided to try this out on my home tv and I'm glad i did. It gives a great picture even with cables slowest internet..I was going to upgrade my cable speed because i did not want any buffering issues or bad pic quality but it's been almost a month with the slowest connection and it's been GREAT ! NO issues whatever. .I say save the $$ on higher speed connections for streaming with this fire stick..

Bought this product along with a LG 42 inch tv. Super easy to use. Everything you need is in the box. You might need a long power cord because the power cord in the box is only about 5ft long if your power source is farther away. To download apps just need to log in to your amazon account and hit go. Very cool if you do not want a smart TV. A cheaper version.

Have had this for over 5months waited on submitting a review for had to return the first one due to usb cord not working properly. I think it was a previously purchased packaging. Once we connected the second one we have not have any issues with it. Beyond connecting it to the kindle fire for streaming movies and then it would freeze and have a slow transmission time. This was disappointing for its the same company and should be compatible with the tablet. Besides this, it is very easy to use.

I cannot believe how much better this is than the flaky blueray and smartTV streamers everyone advertises. Its so smooth and crisp and its Xbox/PS4 quick when transitioning. Ive owned a Chrome cast and i loved that but this was just much easier. No need for another device, just plug it in, connect the wifi and BAMM your good to go. 100% recommend the fire stick
