Love the Fire TV Stick for most purposes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several of these and mainly use overseas to access a Slingbox in the US with Slingplayer (as the Fire TV stick has a standalone app). My success with this has been mixed at best. Seems to work good in the US at remote locations, but overseas it varies - possibly due to fluctuating internet connections. Sometimes I still need to pull out an old WD TV Live to access the Slingbox and this experience is mixed as well.

A good alternative to cable

Does what it should...and more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lately it seems you are lucky if a product actually does what it says but the firestick does that and more. I have a chromestick in the TV as well and to play computer content it is fine but the Firestick is a much more intelligent device. You can add apps to it, it has its own interface, and is pretty clean. I even opted to get Prime membership for the free movies and tv. It would be a 5 in my book if not for the lame remote. It is not intuitive in design and since the buttons do not light up it is hard to figure out which is which when watching a movie. In short, everyone should have a fire stick.
