Nice but with some caveats

Plenty of free prime videos and pay for new stuff if you like. There are many apps you can add with Netflix and Hulu being the ones most people are interested in. By putting ES File Explorer on the you can also add the Kodi app to the Firestick. There is a lot of things you can delve into with Kodi and there are websites devoted to just that so that is all i will say. This is the older Firestick and that is why I gave it 3 stars. This does not have the Alexa remote that you speak to and I don't think it supports it. The remote for this (and the new stick) has terrible placement of the 'home' button. It's right in the middle and is so easy to hit it instead of 'pause', right below, or the big 'select', right above. It has an overheating problem. This seems very common from what I've read. I took mine apart and removed thermal padding. It seemed to help some. Other have gone as far as drilling a number of small holes. Doing this will, of course, void your warranty. It also does not shut off so besides removing the thermal padding I make sure to put it to sleep when I'm not using it. Between to two things I've have not had an overheating problem since. If the new Firestick wasn't available I would recommend this one, but now I say no.

Less Than Advertised
