The sound was missing on about half the channels as well as the animated introduction to Fire TV Stick. Returned for a refund. Have Roku stick, works great so far.

It’s an old model. I would buy the fire tv as it is best.

The stick was slow, and wouldn't even reach wifi in my own house.

Why buy a fire stick, just to have to pay for EVERYTHING on it?

I replaced my bonus room tv with this Amazon Fire Stick instead of DirectTV. Setup is easy -- simply plug in and start it up. I use it every day. With my family's subscription to Netflix and Amazon Prime, I really don't need any other programming. I also went to the Amazon Prime site to set up my favorite music and now stream all of my music through the Fire Stick, too, for free. Love IT!!!

Not bad. Could use some better features. Was expecting more

Sometimes freeze, slow response, not full screen pictures.

It's only $40 and it comes with a remote. Unlike Chromecast. It's also fast.

Always freezing up. Never had this issue with our Roku

I never did go down the Chrome Cast path, but have loved my WD Live, and I am very impressed with this device. After a connection to my Wi-Fi, a simple update & registration, I was up and running in about 10 minutes. I was pleased to find the interface pretty much straight forward and a little cleaner than accessing Prime via my Blu-ray player. I went into recent additions and jumped on World War Z, just to test it out. The movie started instantly, and I mean instantly, like it was waiting for me to start it. 1080P & smooth as silk, I backed out and went searching for content, and found tons of it, thanks to my Prime membership. I was also pleased to see HBO special content, lots of HBO content. I will now be even more addicted to my TV, given new life with a $25 plug in. Looking forward to playing with Miracast function that I've been reading about.

Performs better than the Roku 3. Only downside is doesn't have all the channels Roku 3 has. Also, highly focused towards Prime Membership which I refuse to pay for since I already do Hula and Netflix and I am not going to give either up to get Prime. For the price this is the best bang for the buck.

I was shocked at how advanced this little device was when I first fired it up. The UI is smooth, there are a ton of free apps and games, and it's a heck of a deal. However - the instructions could have been more helpful. The Fire TV stick crashed on me multiple times, and support couldn't figure it out. It wasn't until I researched the problem online that I realized that I needed the device plugged directly into the wall outlet, and not the USB input on TV while doing the initial update.
