I received an out dated fire tv stick after paying the price of the new fire tv stick with voice control. Best buy should discontinue selling the outdated tv stick (as all other electronics stores have) or at least decrease the price of the outdated one.

Didn't return it in 15 days. Worth nothing but throwing away. Continually freezes. Disconnects from network. Just stops and goes to HOME. PIECE OF JUNK. I have Roku stick that works flawlessly. Should have bought another one but tried this. Bad mistake.

Hands down the best thing on the market when it comes to streaming device. Affordable also. If your'e not gonna play games or download many apps, Skip the Amazon fire tv box and get this.

I purchased this fire stick about a week ago and haven't been able to watch not one full movie. It skips and buffers the entire time. I give it a Big 2 Thumbs Down. Very Dissapointed with this purchase. Seeking a refund. It's horrible!!

I love the Fire Stick. I didn't purchase the one with the voice remote, although with new support for Alexa, I've considered trading up. Amazon's interface is buttery smooth compared to my old Roku LT, which was quite slow to respond. I'm sure the latest Rokus are much better, but the Fire Stick suits me perfectly. I also own a Chromecast, which doesn't get nearly as much use due to my preference for the simple remote and UI of the Fire Stick. Sideloading is a perk of the Fire Stick you may enjoy; I tried it out and didn't do much with it. I find Amazon's offerings to be plenty varied on their own. My favorite news app is Frequency. No ads, and all the latest news from countless sources. Netflix and Prime Video of course work flawlessly. I'm impressed that Amazon didn't skimp on the Netflix support. For $40, turn your dumb or smart TV into a genius.

I have tried to use this product on every television in my house and I can't get anything to play. I was trying to eliminate my cable bill by using this - not a good idea :(

The Amazon Fire TV Stick is awesome for streaming Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon Prime, etc. without having to use your computer. A few small downsides: - There is no mirroring option for Apple devices, an appealing part of the Apple TV. - Sometimes every app except the Amazon Prime app seem sluggish/stream at a lower quality. This usually fixes itself within a few minutes, but it's still noticeable from time to time. - The Internet connection is often not very strong, making it difficult to watch something. I would recommend having it semi-close to your router to avoid having this issue entirely. These are my only complaints with this product, but they are minimal in comparison to the convenience that the Fire TV Stick offers. Two out of the three issues that I listed are not consistent and are usually resolved quickly. I thoroughly enjoy having it.

Sometimes it works great but mostly it is piece of junk whereas never had problems with other similar device n I have great high speed on my internet plan which works very well so that can't be the issue

I bought a subscription on Sling TV (the $25 package), and I wanted to see if I liked it enough to replace my Cable subscription with Sling TV. Although I had read many positive reviews on the Amazon Fire TV Stick, I was not sure if I would get the same picture quality and program options that cope with Cable. What I found is that with the Amazon Fire TV Stick, I can now watch what I want to watch and when I want to watch it. All that is needed is a good internet connection and a TV streaming service. Unlike the Google Chromecast stick, with which I needed to stream and, control and select content from phone or tablet, the Fire TV Stick comes with a Remote Control, allowing the user to control things without needing to use a phone or tablet. The picture and sound quality are great! The Sling TV + Amazon Fire TV Stick make a great combination, and I am now ready to "sever the cord" that bound me to Cable TV!

The Amazon Fire TV Stick is the perfect streaming device. It includes all the necessary apps, including WWE Network, Plex, Netflix... The UI doesn't lag, and the included remote puts the device over the top. I bought this for my parents, who are not very tech savvy, and even they love it.

It provides the best way to watch Amazon Instant movies and TV yet, and Prime subscribers can stream thousands of titles for no additional charge. The interface is zippy, and Amazon content streams lightning-fast. Supported third-party apps include Netflix, HBO Go, YouTube, Hulu Plus, Sling TV, Watch ESPN, Spotify and Pandora, as well as hundreds of games. Amazon also offers flexible parental controls, and setup is incredibly simple. Disadvantages: The user interface strongly favors Amazon Instant content over other services, and the search feature doesn't comb through Netflix or most other non-Amazon apps. You really need a Prime subscription to get the most out of the device. The Bottom Line While it doesn't match the app selection or search capabilities of Roku, Amazon's Fire TV Stick's solid performance and mastery of Amazon content make it easily worth the $24.99 price.

I purchased a smart television and leaned about the device after having a conversation with the sale representative. I purchased one and ended up going back and purchasing another.

I've had a few streaming devices before and this is probably my go to device. It's convenient; plug it in an hdmi port and power it with a usb port. It even comes with an small hdmi adapter/extension in case it gets too crowded on the ports. The remote is simple and not overly complicated. I have no issues with the wifi and the interface is beautiful. With the ability to sideload apps, this is one killer device. One thing I do miss from the Roku is the ability to listen to the audio through headphones so that you can watch tv without disturbing your mate. This stick does have bluetooth and I hope they come out with an update that allows you to redirect audio to your bluetooth headphones. I know that the Fire TV can do this by sideloading the settings apk. I've tried this with the stick and it does not work. But for the money, this cannot be beat! I've about 5 of these to gift to my family members.

ordered a fire stick and it was the old model. why is best buy selling the old model for the same price as the newer improved model ? be careful ordering online. : (

Own multiple chromecasts. Owned the Roku 3 and returned it. Amazon fire TV stick is hands down the fastest most feature packed name brand TV stick you can purchase. Very easy setup. The free Android app makes it even easier to use with voice search.

I bought 2 and we set them up and they were working fine and then they just stopped working. No matter what I did I could not get either of them to work.

I have the highest internet you can get and it still stops in the middle of a movie and won't buffer/load. I can fast forward or rewind without it freezing.

Theres an endless array of apps and features that has something for everyone to enjoy from kids and cartoons to teens vampires diaries and music to history and reality tv to sports and news theres literally milloins of shows at your becon call it streams fast no waiting or buffering it comes with its own remote so no crazy pairing or codes to look up and program very simple and easy to use setup instructions are clear and simple takes less than 3 min to complete and your in business .....hope this helps ........enjoy ....

This was my second one after two weeks the stick stops connecting to wifi and wont play. Not my internet as i took it elsewhere and it did the same
