like i stated, it is a nice little streaming device, has a nice ui and easy to tuck away, only problem is it wont let me play better game with a bluetooth controller.

Got this to get Sling TV in my bedroom. First one didn't connect to the home network, returned it and it worked. Aside from that issue this stick is pretty good.

This is a must have!!! I tell all my friends about this product.

Apps are designed very poorly compare to Roku. Looks like hardware is not enough for smooth access of content. Stick becomes very hot and freezes so many times. Apps selections are very less compare to Roku. Remote control stuck to one button very frequently and it is very irritating. If you are not planning to use Kodi, then don't buy it, Roku is far better than this. You get what you pay for.

The fire TV stick works as intended. I like it better than the Google Chromecast.

We use this on a non smart tv. It works fantastic. My only complaint is that I had to buy Plex again on this device.

Its works great, just make sure you have good wifi. I installed Kodi and its even better now

I have an Apple TV and I am happy with it but I wanted another streaming device for a 2nd television. So I decided to give the firestick a try. I could not be happier. This thing does everything the Apple tv does plus a little more. It's easy to set up/use. I highly recommend!

We cancelled cable, so we needed a streaming device. This little guy does the job for what we need. The only things we don't like are that there is a power cord needed. Something that charges while plugged into the hub would be great. There is also a bit of lag depending on how much you load on the fire stick. All in all though, I'd recommend it for what it does at this price.

Love that it has a remote that is easy to navigate the screen with. It has bluetooth capability so I can watch scary movies as loud as I want with my headphones and not bother anyone whike they are sleeping. It's easy to use. I would definitely recommend firestick to anyone.

I use these devices to run KODI/XBMC for streaming media. They work well and are a great value.

I can't get enough of these. I've bought these as gifts for my family, friends, teachers, etc. I watch everything on them little pocket size Amazon fire tv sticks. I've listened to music, play video games even caught up on all the latest shows I've missed and so much more.

This review should be minimal due to the fact that my experience was short. I purchased this item to compare to the Google Chromecast I have used at a relatives home. The price was an immediate selling point compared to the price of the chromecast. Setup was straight forward aside from the update download and the short intro video that you have to watch briefly to explain the product. I was new to the Amazon UI, but not a problem to navigate. It's downfall, at least for me, was that I had to register a credit card with Amazon in order to download free apps to use (their 1-click purchase). I am not a fan of digital ecosystems that "require" credit card info to be stored for no viable reason such as using a free app. Chromecast specs may be a notch down, but it's overall functionality is less intrusive. To each it's own as always. Choose wisely.

Love having Netflix and Hulu and more all on a device that doesn't take up any space

I have been using this product for the last few months and so far its been decent. Speed is subjective so I'll differentiate how I perceive this. The speed while pressing remote buttons and navigating around the UI was frustrating. Perhaps its because it is located behind the TV screen but I could press and see nothing happen. I actually had to get closer to get slow chopped directional movements in the screen. My perception of the speed of launching apps/channels is better. Not the fastest but not the slowest. Roku Streaming Stick 3500 takes the win in that tortoise race, I'm sorry to say. I do have an issue with buffering or loading during playback. I sideloaded Kodi and turned the Fire Stick into a cheap OTT device, which is a big plus cause you can't do that in Roku.

Look, all streaming devices are about the same--we use them for Netflix, hulu, etc. Depending on what exactly you are trying to access determines the device you buy: Amazon, Roku, Apple, etc. The fire stick can accept side loaded Android Apps, that was my purpose, and it works fine. The phone app is very nice and works great (even has voice search).
