Posted .Hello, Ipad. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the Fire TV Stick HD. I am sorry to hear about your experience with the device and have some recommendations to try and help solve the issue. I first recommend checking the batteries in the remote, as a low battery can cause a slow response. Also, I recommend making sure the Fire TV Stick is up to date on the latest software by going into My Fire TV, selecting About, and clicking Check for Updates. My last recommendation is to reset the remote. Start by unplugging and restarting both the Fire TV device and the remote. After powering them back on, press and hold the Home button until the LED light flashes (on third-gen remotes, it should blink blue rapidly). If that doesn't work, reset the remote by holding the Left, Menu, and Back buttons together for 12 seconds. Then remove the batteries, plug the Fire TV back in, and reinsert the batteries and select the home icon. If these steps do not help and you are still experiencing issues, I recommend reaching out to Amazon Customer Support 24/7 at 1-888-280-4331.
