Original Firestick remote versus new puppy. Helpful tip from me to you: Replacement remote is kept in a drawer when not in use. Also - only needed the remote (not the rest in the package) - synced with existing “works”. And now I also have backup already for when the original “works” konk out.

This worked perfectly for my needs. My mom was having issues with one of her apps on the TV. I picked this up and it did even more than what we needed it for, which was great. I was able to download the app she needed and set her up with the others that came with the product.

The price is the best thing about this, especially if you get it on sale. But for about the same price, I'd probably go with a Roku if it supports the apps you are looking for. The main screen is not very organized or user friendly and it feels like it's full of ads/promos. It's much easier organized and set up on Roku. But overall this gets the job done. It's a quick and easy set up and seems to streams anything you need - if you can find the app through all the mess on the home screen.

I've heard of firesticks for a while and glad I finally made the jump. It consolidates your streaming services and has a good browser to search for whatever videos aren't available on the services you subscribe to. You don't even need to jailbreak it. The voice recognition is also very useful. I'm very satisfied.
