I own FireTV (The 4K) , and have had very little issue with it. Unfortunately this one doesn't work out of the box. It connected to my internet fine, but then gives me an error when it tries to do the initial set-up and update. Then it tells you to try again later. Its been doing this for several days. The Amazon site the error tells you to go to for support doesn't exist, so that's nice. These are brand new, so maybe amazon hasn't set it up yet? Since I couldn't find any info or support page for this specific device, I followed the generic troubleshooting instructions for FireTv devices with no success. This is getting returned and I'll just buy another Roku or something.

There are a number of factors that may be playing into it such as a bad connection, outdated software on your Echo or Fire Stick, distance between the two of them, etc. If you have not done so yet, I would recommend calling Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 to get assistance for your specific problems as I can attest that that is not the expected customer experience you should be having. My internet is fine so I will not being purchasing this again.

Constantly reboots it's self and very sluggish. I would stay away from this one and spend the money on a regular firestick. Actually I would afford all fire sticks.

The Alexa Voice Remote Lite is meant for ease of use to be able to just press and ask Alexa to find, launch, and control content. App buttons may vary, it does not have TV controls and will not control power and volume on your TV, soundbar, or receiver. If these features interest you, I would recommend Fire TV Stick, which comes with TV controls.
