better than earlier version
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an older version of the Amazon Firestick which was frequently dropping video and seemed to be overheating, so I purchased this new one for a second tv and it works much better. It comes with a cable extender which is supposed to help with overheating. It is also faster and not dropping video! I am going to try the older Firestick on a less used tv.

Alexa built in and works with my insignia smart outlets and nest. Also handy for third party apps. Bought a bunch as gifts for the holidays.

Great streaming device

The new voice control remote works pretty well but we don't use it too often. It's great for the kids to use. We have one in every room.
