Easy to use fire tv stick

I finally caved... but my first purchase was Fire TV. When I realized it wasn't as portable as the Firestick, I bout the Firestick! It's easy to set up open source so you can install a plethora of apps. I like that it's portable so I can take my shows with me on the road. (you only need wireless service available but have to live with whatever bandwidth you get) I like the design of the remote. Its reminiscent of the old iPods with a simple but elegant design. I would pay a little more for a back-lit remote. The voice recognition seems cool but whether it is of value or not will depend on what you are doing with your Firestick. It's cool to use voice to tell the device you want to stream from Amazon but it doesn't work with other apps. So, if you are just dabbling and want to see what the fuss is about, I would start with the less expensive one if you don't want a chance at 4K and want some portability. If you don't need portability but want more power and storage, go with the higher end product. Both my FireTV and Firestick have the same quality picture at 1080p. Both get hung up buffering from time to time. Both need to have the cache cleared from time to time.
