I owned the first version of the fire stick and that one was plagued with issues. Chief among them was sluggish start up and performance across every app I used. Those same apps run faster on this version and the remote itself seems sturdier. Although I still am wearing of playing games with it because the last one registered multiple presses after a while. I can only attribute that to the constant clicking when playing games. The only app that has a problem is DirecTV Now. Sometimes the app will close on its own and push you to the home menu. Can't find a reason why that is, as it will do so randomly. I think that it's the app itself because other apps work great. PlayStation Vue works great, Netflix works great. Overall, it's a good product and greatly improved from the last one. All those issues are improved, from overheating to not picking up the wifi signal (even though the router was inches from the stick).

I am loving this Fire Stick, I own an apple product, but this product offers a lot of additional apps that are not offered through the competitor.

This convenient little device has come in handy more times than I can count. Any tv is now a smart tv that I can use my phone with.

My sons bought me an Amazon Fire Stick after Christmas so we could stream movies and shows. It works great and we are enjoying it.

this is a great little device to make any tv into a smart TV. has all the appps you need. i bought two. one for each room.

With all of the apps you can add on the firestick, there's something for everyone. I've gotten rid of my satellite provider saving me $150 a month.

Awesome is the only word I can describe the fire stick with remote! Easy to set up takes a few times to voice activate but once you get that AWESOME

Work great give me more options for viewingeasy to set up and use I can now get rid of my over priced cable and still see my shows

This operates smoothly, is quick to set up, and is easy for my senior parents to use. We like that we can easily pack it with us to use at hotels, etc.

The Fire Stick is a great piece of equipment. Setup was a breeze and the product works exactly as stated, in conjunction with Alexa.

Easy way to surf the web and apps without a smart tv and Alexa is a lazy mans dream

Love that it is voice activated. Does buffer occasionally even with blast internet.

Added the firestick to my older 55" LCD television; smart tv's didn't exist at that time when I purchased it new. Firestick plugs into the HDMI port and immediately, with WIFI, away you go. Very simple to use and at a reasonably low price. Go for it.

This was just what I needed to stream in my kitchen! It's small, yet powerful. I haven't utilized the voice feature yet, but I'm sure it's amazing too.

This is my favorite streaming device at the moment. Super easy to setup, nice collection of apps, and the option to jailbreak it for Kodi usage.

I bought this to use with the new streaming services called SetvNow. Once I learned how to set up it was easy and provides an incredible experience. I’ll get another.. One thing is the power. I would prefer to power it off the USB port on my TV but got an error message. I had to plug to a power outlet. Kinda of a pain when I already have so many devices. That is why I didn’t give 5 stars.

I have honestly not used this product yet, but Best Buy had the best price of any retailer. ALL 5 of my children asked for this for Christmas. I cannot wait until Christmas morning. I will add another review once we all get this set up.

This is my first step into cutting the cord to my cable. Easy to use. Just plug in and set up with my Amazon account. Definitely worth the money.

It works well and have had no problems. Amazon also has an excellent track record for customer service, so should a problem arise, be assured it'll be taken care of. That being said, I recently bought this to add to a new 70" tv I purchased. Shortly after I found out most of the newer/higher-end TV's, no matter what maker all have their "Smart TV" apps already pre-loaded onto the TV. There really isn't a reason for you to get this unless you're looking for the option to voice-control, or you have an order TV without the smart apps on your TV.
