Super simple set up. Plug into TV plug into outlet, tell her the WIFI password and my Amazon ID. She understands everything the Dot knows and can control the WEMO lights. And because you use the remote to talk to her, it doesn't confuse the other Amazon device. Note; for best results you should have a Prime account.

Great product for low price.

Still streaming is great and no problems. The streaming options are endless with Amazon cloud. It would be great addition if Amazon can add an option to specify URL or browsing option to the Stick. I have been using TV Cast app on Android to play movies from other websites other than Amazon and Youtube. Thanks, -Sree

Who needs cable?

With a Wi-Fi connection, a high-definition tv (HDMI port is a must for this to work) and a Fire Stick, just about everything you could possibly watch on cable is available to you at a much cheaper price than cable. Set-up is easy and subscriptions to certain apps are required but, overall, you can not lose with one of these. And, at only $40, the Fire Stick is an absolutely AWESOME deal.
