Who needs cable tv when you got this fire stick all you need is the internet and enjoy watching tv ... only flaw is that it doesn’t turn off you have to unplug it

The Fire is nice to have when using Hulu or Netflix. Previously I was using the PlayStation 4 to watch and I got so annoyed with the controller so it's nice to have a normal controller. I like the voice tool but I always forget about it and end up typing everything in anyway. The reason I deducted a star is because there are some apps that are available on the Amazon store but can't be downloaded on the Fire such as TLC. It should be noted that in order to use most of the channel apps you will need to log in using your cable company's login to your account. If you don't have cable then most of the apps are pretty useless because there is very little free content.

I was surprised how much faster this was than the older model. It also has all the apps I like that some of my smart TVs don't have like WB and ESPN. Also it automatically integrated with my smart home features tied to Alexa. I can now turn on my lights with the remote without any hassles. A cool feature is that you can have it go to your favorite shows on Hulu or Netflix with a voice command.

I had the older model and the apps worked, but when I tried to use other apps that I downloaded to the stick, it was always buffering, etc. I was going to give up on the stick but I decided to buy the updated model and everything works great and moves faster! A week later, I bought another one and I will buy two more this Xmas for my other TVs. Definitely worth the investment.

I bought this item and used just for 1 option - watch movies on You tube. Because of Google's and Amazon's dealing problems, this service will discontinue starting January 1, 2018. So, this item will be useless starting new year.

I was streaming Amazon Prime with cell to Chromecast, This is much easier. Remote is great.

Bought this because I have amazon prime and its the only option to watch prime movies on the TV. You have to "buy" the apps from amazon (all of them are free, but some have to have a service fee) in order to watch them. But once that are installed, it works very good! It's not like Google Chromcast where you "send" what you have on your phone/tablet to the device; you actually open the app and watch the content

Fire TV Stick is a bargain. Very useful. Received as a gift. My primary use is for Sling TV Remote, for which it is excellent. Alexa Voice Remote feature permits me hands-free commands (via voice) for games and apps. However, it does NOT give me voice control of my Sling TV station -- that would have been nice. Nevertheless, I still give it 5-star rating (outstanding). A pleasant surprise.

Love the apps. Very easy to navigate. I can watch my Netflix and Hulu. TV when you want it.

I bought the fire stick based on reviews over Chromecast and roku and they didn't lie. I have 2 Chromecast devices and the fire stick exceeds my expectations over those. My only negative is it doesn't seem to work well with my existing echo dot but that could just be my learning curve.
