Thank God for Firestick! I cancelled my cable three months after purchase and bought one for someone on a limited budget! It saved her so much money!

I was a bit hesitant to get this first, since I used chromecast. I ended up enjoying this as much as the chronecast. A nice feature is that I doubles as an Alexa with the remote. I will say that you should probably have subscriptions to things like cable, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc or this is going to be useless to you. Ended up buying 2 more on prime day.

The Amazon stick is easy to set up and use. As long as you have the subscriptions you want, it does the job. I purchased it, even though I had an older smart TV for the new app interfaces (like skip ahead for Netlfix), its better search capabilities and its ability to work with Alexa. Negatives: Infrequently the sounds goes into slow motion which requires turning off the TV and unit (reported to happen for other brand devices as well). It's a buying platform for Amazon services so be prepared for a bit too many offers and screen real estate for subscriptions to Amazon TV extras and movies.

The device works as it should and there is no lag. Alexa works perfectly.

Pure awesomeness...I love my amazon fire stick. It gives me a variety of everything I can watch and do. Watching my favorite shows never felt so good.

The stick works great and the programs are excellent quality. They show really clear and doesn't pause a lot. The price was good also and l would recommend it to a friend.

I've been thinking about cutting the cable off for years, and finally did it last February 2016. I wish I had of done so years ago. This streaming stick and watching regular broadcast programming completely satisfies my viewing. I highly recommend this product if you want to put that $100+ back into your pocket every month! I'll start by saying that I am a fan of Chromecast. I can see where this is a viable option for customers who are apart of the Amazon world. For me I have found more use when adding Kodi to the fire stick. Other than that it's just like any other media streaming stick.

I would give this a 4 and half, IF you also have Amazon Alexa Echo series as companion, and are an Amazon PRIME member which get's you companion Amazon basic Music....as a "package" they give you a lot, but you will have to buy "extensions" to the basic in areas where you want "more" current movies (adding more Amazon and/or Neftlix), more music options, etc. The remote is simple, but effective, and you can voice control some tasks. I have two Fire Sticks plus 2 Alexis Echo Dots, HUE color ambiance lights, and companion SmartHome electrical plug outlets that controls various lights and receivers.

The device was easy to setup and works great for streaming tv
