The Fire Stick is nice to watch movies. However, it works better if you are an Amazon Prime member.

Have no issues with this firestick it’s great recommended this to several friends and family members

I own both the new Fire and Roku stick (3600R), below is a short review and honest (personal) opinion on both products. User Interface: the Fire stick has essentially the same UI as Fire TV (which I also own), it is largely divided by content category (Home, Video, TV, Movie, Music, Games, Photo, Apps, etc.), and integrated seamlessly with Prime eco-system. If you are already a Prime member, you will have better experience with Fire stick than Roku. Roku’s UI has the advantage of integrating more contents (Google Store, My Feed, News, etc.). Roku also allows user to make certain changes in Home screen (add/remove/move tiles), unlike Fire stick. However, both UIs are well designed, smooth. It comes down to personal preference. Hardware/Streaming Quality: as far as I can tell, there isn’t much difference, both are powerful devices, almost no lags with either device. One of the attached pictures is a screenshot of streaming YouTube 4K content from Fire stick, the picture quality is stunning (output as 1080p).

This is a pretty inexpensive and convenient way to access streaming content on your TV. Especially if you don't have a smart TV. We do have a smart TV but opt to use the Fire TV stick for Amazon Prime Video content, occasionally browsing the web and pulling up our YouTube content. We still use our 2nd gen AppleTV to stream Netflix and PBSKids. I know the former is available on the Fire TV, the latter I'm not positive about. I think we still use the AppleTV because the user interface is preferable. The voice activation on the Fire TV is 'okay'. The user interface on the FireTV leaves a lot to be desired. For example, launching the voice recognition from the remote while in an app will perform a general search rather than populate a text field. This is a pain and defeats the point of voice-user interface. I was hoping to do a lot less typing with the stripped down remotes that are bundled with the Apple and Fire TVs. Another less than impressive user experience is navigation thru apps and web browsers. The circular up/down/left/right buttons and center select button are utilitarian but very inconvenient for tabbing between fields, scrolling across websites and navigating on-screen keyboards. The latest generation touch pads on the newer AppleTV remotes are a huge advance in this area. I think this would be a nice evolution of the FireTV remote.

Perfect for any tv in the house. Plug and play makes it convenient along with the Amazon assurances

Im happy with the purchase. Its convenient to have all the apps searchable and in one location. I dont use the voice search much but my mother does when she comes over. Everyone uses the firestick more than watching regular digital tv. Plus I can play some of the games I like that are on my phone.

This was a very great experience I am very upset with myself for not having purchased it in advance.

Amazon Fire Stick is a great device--easy to use, providing full access to all of my computer-based web entertainment sites, as well as full Youtube search and watch. This is the second device I bought for our two big TVs and it has broadened our home entertainment options greatly.

This is like the sixth Fire Stick that I have purchased and they are superb and very user friendly.

The Amazon Fire Stick is a excellent Alternate to Regular Cable. The channel offering is excellent.

Have used Chromecast and roku previously and feel the fire stick is much better overall. The best feature is the fact that you can determine who the actors are onscreen then use that information to find other movies those actors have starred in. Great functionality and easy to setup and use.

I left my fire stick I turned off my expensive premium channels with Comcast cable saving money now.

This beats a cable bill hands down. We have a to tap of 3 now. Getting a 4th one soon from Best Buy.

The fire sticks have been out of stock in our area for a while, so I caught this well stocked item.

My friends have recommended this product for God knows how long and I didn't purchase it until last week. I should have done this a long time ago; I'm quite pleased with the firestick. I purchased 2 individually but could have saved $15 had I purchased them simultaneously. Oh well!

My dad told me how much he was using his and how great it was. I has been debating on whether or not to get it. It’s great!! It buffers every now and then but what you get for what you pay. Unbeatable
