went into best buy to purchase a smart tv so I could watch netflix or prime in my garage while I excersise the associate said you don't need a new tv just get a fire stick or roku great suggestion and now for only 40,00 I have a smart tv

This is a great item. Used it primarily to have Internet access viewing on a living room TV we do not have cable connections on. It has many excellent apps but be carefull not to keep it plugged in too long. It can overheat. Otherwise an excellent media source.

Great product for a great price. I would recommend to a friend in a heartbeat.

Since buying this, I cut my cable subscription and have no plans of going back

I got one of these for both of my kids, and they use them daily. My daughter likes to use hers mostly for her Hulu, and Netflix, and my son uses his with our Amazon accout to stream music. Great gift for that young adult that you don't know what to get them.

When I bought this about five months back, I wasn’t too sure if I am making the right decision. I had used Apple TV for a very long time and was mostly watching TV shows & movies using the Netflix app on Apple TV. Being a Amazon Prime member, I wanted to be able to stream videos from Prime too and this device I found to have a full HD support and is able to stream both Prime and Netflix. To top it all now I used Amazon Fire TV stick to get Hulu and CBS Now subscriptions. Now, I really don’t need cable tv connection. This is all I ever need. Very happy with quality. There is Firefox browser for a accessing the www. And the speech recognition works great. It also suggests different ways of watching a show. For example, I can search for ‘Suits’ and it can tell me which of my apps have that TV show and if its included in my prime. It’s brilliant.

For someone who already has Netflix and Amazon Prime this is the perfect item.

I couldn’t be more happier with my MacBook, everyone in the family is jealous.

I am really enjoying my fire stick. It gives me access to videos, games, and apps so that I'm able to enjoy whatever it is I like. I like the fact that it's fast and also the Alexa voice remote because I can just talk to it without having to push all the buttons.

Love the Amazon TV Fire Stick. Bought it to play our movie collection and it works great with the Kodi app. We used to use WD Live but after upgrading to Windows 2012 Server the WD wouldn't consistently connect to the network. The Fire Stick connects every time. I personally like the WD better because it downloads metadata from all the movies (Cover pic, movie summary, actors, date, etc). I don't think the Kodi app has this capability or I haven't discovered it yet. But, none of that matters if you can't watch the movies. This is very important to us since we have converted our entire movie collection (over 2000 movies) to iso and mkv formats. I was initially concerned about playback with the wireless connection but it has been flawless. We are using a new Linksys Velop wireless router so that could make a difference. Don't know. I plan to buy at least one more of these for the bedroom.

Works just as well as the Apple TV box and easy to connect to any of my TV’s.

This fire stick is da best thing that was ever invented in life the guy in electronics helped me pick I was undecided between Roku and fire stick I made the right choice plus if you jailbreak the stick everything is free and unlimited huh
