The voice control makes it easy for my mom to use, and she wasn't able to figure out the first generation. Also, it picks up Wifi a LOT better.

Easy to use and lots of app options

Paired with a sling box, you can also view your cable channels on an alternate TV that does not have a cable box.

Just because I got mixed reviews from multiple friends who had one. Mines works just fine, no complaints! Its easy to move from tv to tv and hasn't glitched since purchasing it.
