Long story short I went in for just this and my wife decided we also needed a fridge but that is for another review. The fire stick was needed for a tv in the bedroom because we took cable away for that tv. It is worth it to have Netflix and the like on that tv as well.

The Amazon Fire Stick has a great many uses—most obviously if you have a Prime account, it allows you access to Amazon’s own free streaming content. This device also offers Netflix and Hulu apps, which will be handy for many users. For me in particular, I have subscribed to DirecTV Now’s streaming TV service and was able to save some money by cutting out a large portion of my cable bill (excluding internet, which only cable could provide at a capacity anywhere near streaming capabilities in my area). Sling TV and Playstation Vue services are additional options, so if you are interested in streaming your TV, you might do a little research to see which one works best for you for the price. The only weak point I encountered with the Fire Stick itself was that it lagged when attempting to stream 4K. In case you have a new UHD 4K television, you might be inclined to purchase the more powerful FireTV box, or AppleTV devices.

I haven't used the item yet. However, I am excited to try it out this weekend. I read great views on it! and I actually tried it at my aunts house. It was so convenient, simple, and I was able to watch everything that I could watch on cable. Great for entertaining guest.

I have four of these for each television in my home. It’s better than me paying for cable, and the picture quality is amazing on all of my television!

Bought this for a non smart tv. Used in an extra guest room. They now have tv for entertainment without me purchasing another cable box. Easy install.

I now have 6 firesticks. I find them easy to set up and easy to use. I just wish I could get my Vudu on it then I wouldn't have to keep my Roku stick.

Get rid of your Cable bill and get one of these! Stream your favorite shows, movies and more. The selection of apps is amazing and it's highly portable.

The Amazon firestick is great for combining all your premium TV channels (HBO, Showtime, Nextflix, etc) by downloading the apps. Then it is easy to navigate from one app to another to watch what you want when you want. I have bought 3 total firesticks for each of my TVs. you can also take the firestick with you when you travel as long as the hotel you are staying at has good internet.

This was a Best Buy for me and my family.We are having fun loading the channel we like and learning together .Looking forward seeing all of our shows.

Clear picture and user friendly! We cut the cable cord and now stream all of our tv's, it offers a great option to still watch a lot of our favorites.

Has been so easy and does exactly what I want. I didn't have to figure anything out. Just followed the easiest directions ever. I am fairly savvy with tech but usually make my husband set things up because I have no patience nor do I have time but this thing had a movie on in less than 5 minutes connected to my cell phone as a hotspot. I can't get over how intuitive it is. Love it.

Easy to set up, worked as expected. Better solution than a smart TV, it also acts as an Alexa device if you have an Echo or Dot already. The TV doesn't need to be on for smart home functions, just press the microphone button on the voice remote and operate your smart home. Using mostly for Plex but if you have Prime then you are set with loads of content. Recommended for cord cutters.

I was pleasantly impressed with how user friendly this device was to setup and navigate. Definitely adds value to an existing Amazon Prime membership.

Streaming takes some getting use to but the Firestick makes it easy to navigate. Glad I made the purchase and dropped the expensive monthly cable bill.

This handy little device was easy to install and will potentially save us hundreds (and more) dollars that we are giving to the cable system that we currently have. New movies, established TV shows and other shows that our current provider does not carry (or wants a premium price) are available now for us to watch. We could have used this years ago and been able to afford a vacation ;-)

Ive always heard great things about the fire stick but i never actually purchased one until this order. I love this thing! And its super easy to use.

Very easy setup, just plug and play any movie anytime, it does require you to have anAmazon account and have options to download and join other apps.

I used this on my tv in the basement (when I was tired of paying a fortune to the cable company for a tv box I rarely use. And it works like a charm!

This was a great purchase. I should have purchased this a long time ago. I need three more when they are on sale again. A good buy for a great price.

You really can't beat the portability of the Fire stick. Anywhere you can go, it can go too, so your favorite programing is always at your finger tips.
