one single place for app casting

The remote and the application are easy to use. The video is of superior quality. I am happy I bought this, now thinking of buying another one for my media room.

Easy Setup

Just plug into HDMI port, connect to WIFI and was ready to go. With Netflix and Amazon Prime there are plenty of movies and shows to watch. Connected to Echo Show but voice command on the remote works well.

Amazon-Fire tv creates smart tv

My older tv did not have apps. By plunging the Amazon-Fire into the tv, I was able to see Netflix movies! At this time I have not used other apps but plan to in the near future.

Great for apps, remote always disconnects

Only complaint is the remote is regularly disconnecting and I need to use the app on my phone to navigate the menu to reset. 1st world problems I k own but it's worth mentioning This model had been surpassed by newer versions also so maybe look to those to purchase

everything is not free on amazon

Thinking that when you purchased this it would be like netflix or hulu with just having to pay a membership to watch whatever is on amazon, but that it not the case. Some things you can watch for free that amazon has but most things you either have to purchase or rent whatever you want to watch on amazon. Everything on amazon is NOT FREE! Beware if you are like me thinking it is like nexflix or hulu because it is NOT! It is also not the easiest thing to scroll through the apps to select what app you would like to watch. You also have to put a credit card on file for amazon to charge you for the membership and also to charge you for what you rent or buy. You can not buy amazon gift cards to use for membership payment or purchases, it has to be a credit card. I do not like that! I do like the voice command though. Just beware.

With Amazon Prime I can stream virtually any type of programming I, my guests or kids want to watch. Set up was a breeze and the voice recognition makes it easy to use for all ages.
