Works better than the fire stick. Good reception, when the WiFi box is downstairs.

This is my 3rd streamer. I have the 2nd gen Fire Tv which I like more that this one, and the Apple 4k tv. I think the Apple 4k outputs the clearest, brightest picture out of the three. The Amazon fire 4k is okay, but the problem I experienced is that its wifi receiver is not strong, whereas my older Fire TV and Apple TV were able to pickup the wifi signal. The router was about 30 ft away. I had to swap this to a TV setup closer to the router which was not my original plan.

I love this device. Great entertainment for my 2 year old son to watch his favorite shows uninterrupted. I've given him the firestick for his room and this one for our bedroom. Have already purchased a 2nd fire tv for the family room.

Very good gift for myself, as a Christmas gift and the the fire sticks I got for family are also very happy with the product... And dealing with Best Buy employees was a very good experience.. they were willing to help and very professional

Fire TV is a streaming device that allows you to cut the cable. Alows you to watch hundreds of shows and movies, all you need is access to the internet. You can use it with or without cable. We discontinued cable and haven't miss it.

We enjoy this device as it provides many shows and movies for our family. I love their educational shows for my 4.5 year old and some older shows like Alf for myself. We got rid of Netflix. Amazon Prime is a much better deal.

If you don't have an apple tv (because you're an android person) or want something fast and simple. It tends to get stuck so you'll need to restart it every so often whether it's for a downloaded app or the home menu itself.

Now that there are voice remotes some people baby reluctant to cut the cord but not with this unit The Voice remote works flawlessly and with the right apps you can get just about anything you can get from the cable company

I purchased this for a loved one who travels all the time for work. This is a great way to watch what you want, when you want especially if you're away from home. Just plug into any newer TV after setup and your good to go.

If you have an older TV than you need to get one of these. I bought it and it’s amazing how much content comes with it. It will keep you entertained for a long time with spending lots of money.

I am not a fan of Amazon's streaming boxes, especially this product. I bought it to take with me when I travel as I am a cord-cutter and I can take my shows with me everywhere. I'm not a big fan of the UI, but that's a subjective complaint. Where this falls short, however, is it's lack of Dolby Vision HDR and the inability to plug this into the TV's USB port. You really need an electrical outlet to power this thing, which is dumb. And even though this product is an HDMI dongle, there is no support for CEC for things like volume control for the tv. I don't hate the product, I'm just disappointed. I still think Roku is the best and would recommend a Roku streaming stick over this any day. But if you're looking for something inexpensive and you use Amazon's services, this is still a decent product.

Best tech I ever bought! Video and audio clarity is way better than Roku 3600R or in-house TV smart hub. Remote buttons are bit noisy, can be made softer. Overall satisfied. Supports android applications, which is a big plus.

the fire tv device has been perfect for me so far. it corrected issues i was having with buffering - my previous fire tv stick was 1st generation and lacked processing power. this thing fixed that problem straight away!

If you don’t have a smart tv or are traveling a fire tv is a great option to consolidate all your streaming. Does have its limits in drive space and processing power, but for streaming prime, Hulu, Netflix or other such programs, the fire tv gives you great, easy, and portable access.

Use this in place of cable TV. With this & an HDTV outside antenna, we can basically get everything & more than what we received with cable TV. Very happy we cut the cable & are now saving LOTS of money every month.

Amazon Fire TV has more to offer than cable. More choices of music. More choices of TV and movies for a far less price. Only thing is Fire TV depends on WIFI and WIFI does stutter at times but then so does cable TV

All you need is patience and good wifi connection and you won't need cable ever again. You can also watch youtube videos to help give you the visual of installing at home. Great device ABSOULETLY love it.

Better than average streaming player. Only has 8 gb of hardrive so limits your app and movie/show downloading. Connects via WiFi, if you want to connect to internet directly you will have to purchase and additional cord that will cost you about $15, but it is still a good streamer.

I am using this for older non-smart TVS and ones that I am not using as much where I don't want to pay for the extra fios box. Am able to see the shows that I want and can move from TV to TV and pick up where I left off.

I think it is great because it waits for you, the shows are there on your timetable and there are no commercials, no buzzing though commercials from those shows over the air, just a much better experience.
