You can literally watch just about anything that's on cable or regular tv. You can watch Netflix, Starz, Hulu etc. You can watch old & new movies. You can watch old tv shows and new ones.

I replaced a Fire Stick with this unit for no reason other than needing to move the Stick to a secondary TV. I don't have a 4K television where this new unit was installed but figured I might as well prepare for a future TV upgrade now. Still a smart move but the performance of this unit (which should have a bit more horsepower than the Stick of half the price) seemed basically the same as the FIre Stick I replaced. No complaints, really--it still performs well (though no Amazon Fire TV product comes close to the speed of my Apple TV 4K) but this unit did underwhelm. Now that Amazon Video is an app available on Apple TV, I would recommend going with Apple over Amazon any day if you can afford the step up.

I have the original fire stick and I purchased this because I got a 4K tv recently. The only thing I wish it had was an Ethernet port. It only works on Wi-Fi and seems very slow. It is fine but I would give it 5 stars with an Ethernet port.

I like the fire stick and what it offers in movies, television, music. I don't like the remote options and the ooerational control buttons on the remote. It makes the selection process a little difficult in choosing your selections of screen.

Wish I could write. Better review. When it works it’s grear. Takes a long time to wake up after a night of no use. Lot of buffering and Hulu and Netflix often don’t work among others. The stick actually is more reliable. Also has trouble identifying if it’s on HDC02 for 4K. Thus far dissapoibted despite the fact that it has Spotify app which Roku does not. I liked the idea of Alexa being used but hooping all this clears up wheb I get the modem adapter which for some bizarre reason is sold sepeeratley and takes a month to arrive. So far this is not comparable to Roku in any level. The fire stick is 10 times better than the Fire tv. Here is me waiting for Hulu for over 5 min.

Every TV I own has a Fire TV attached to it. This is a no-brainer if you have Amazon Prime and watch the free video service. I also use it for Netflix, Hulu and DirecTv Now access.

While it provides multiple good streaming options, it still needs a prime account to great the best out of it. YouTube is still something that can be accessed thorough a browser. No good mouse support for browsing in the browser.

This is my second fire tv device. This device supports 4K TV. I don’t have a 4K TV yet but when I do I will be ready. In the mean time it works great in my office with HD smart TV.

I needed web-browsing on the TV, so this is a right product for me. If you don't need an Airplay feature from your apple product, personally this is a better product than apple tv.

Purchased both the Fire Stick and the Fire TV. The Fire Stick works good on my Samsung Smart TV, but the Fire TV did not perform as well. The problem with the Fire TV was the audio was off by a second which is not good. Why, the audio lacked behind the visual which does not feel good to watch a TV program in which the audio lacks behind the visual. I tried the Fire TV on different Samsung Smart TV with the same results. I do not like returning items, but I can't live with this type of distraction, so I will be returning the Fire TV. Other wise the Fire TV performed alright. I would recommend the Fire Stick over the Fire TV as the Fire TV is good if you game playing the Amazon Games.

As my summary notes I'm new to streaming. Setup of the Amazon Fire TV device was easy, Imaging quality is great and I really like the menus. You can't go wrong with this device.

Amazon got this right. I use mine everyday and it works really well. I t gives you a lot of streaming options and allows you to watch them all through it's clean software.

I have purchased one of these for every TV in my home. It works great for all your streaming apps. This one is better than the Firestick with the added memory and 4k capability.

Need an upgrade for a "non smart" TV? Buy this to get the latest apps and watch all you need. Dont forget you can get the internet LAN adapter too, to avoid buffering.

I love this product, the setup was very easy and I can get all my favorite movie channels and purchased movie at my fingertips. I am going to try and get 3 more for all my rooms.

We got this after getting the fire stick which we loved. Our tv only had minimal apps downloaded and were unable to add anymore so this was a great way to get more channels

If you are an Amazon Prime member you should own one of these or at the very least a fire stick. With your membership there is lots of included content. It’s a great gift.

I have just set up this device, but I am excited about all the viewing options that I have and voice control capabilities. I do have Amazon Prime which is another great bonus!

Got this to replace my cable/Satellite service. Very happy with this. Although I have a bit of a learning curve to learn all that I have available, I am glad I made the switch.

Excellent one from Amazon. I am able to play with Alexa to open app and watch movies. I have this product for 2 years. Still going good
