Bought this on Black Friday special to see if it was an upgrade over smart tv. Not really the software is fast but not organized as well as hulu or Apple TV. Alexa is nice but not not a game changer do I returned it. Ok for dumb tvs but not necessary for smart tv.

Great way to watch movies & TV Shows when nothing on

Worked fine for 6 months then suddenly stopped. Was unable to resolve or replace. I eventually bought the newer version that worked flawlessly. Would not buy this model again

This was to be my favorite gadget. A remote that could turn off my lights and control my streaming services. And then I found there was no Vudu. My issue, even with vudu I would still use amazon movies just as I do using my Riki Stick. I return the fire stick.

Giving 3 stars because person I purchased it for requested it. He said he did the research and all was good. However, I Read a lot of reviews on amazon that aren’t so positive so do your own research before you buy. I personally have Apple TV and Roku.

this amazon fire stick, is not necessary unless you have a smart tv because this is basically offering you apps like Netflix, Hulu and so on. You will have to sign up as a member to pay like regular netflix user. If you have a smart tv you don't need it.

I was able to download pureflix to the firestick but when I watch it, the movie freezes sometimes and I can't get it to go back to the movie. I don't have pureflix on my tv so I used the firestick. Computers are too small for me to watch the movie.

I probably would have rated this product 4 to 5 stars but there is no easy way to watch YouTube TV which gives you live television channels with this product. I returned it and purchased a Roku player and it worked just fine with YouTube TV.

Great product until it died for no apparent reason. I realize it's been 2.5 years, but it just stays plugged in to the back of the TV. I don't understand it at all. Looks as if I have to buy a new model.

I liked the Amazon Fire TV but the only issue I had was it would disconnect in a way it would not get DHCP IP and I had to powered off and leave it off for a few minutes and then power back on to be online.

Two problems I had with this streaming device. One was that it didn't work well with the live local channels on Playstation Vue or Hulu with Live TV. The audio would be out-of-phase with the video, or apparent short spurts of buffering were needed. Got a Roku Ultra after returing the Fire TV, and the Roku Ultra is perfect streaming the live local channels on Playstation Vue and Hulu. I think that the Roku must simply have better buffering algorithms. The other problem that I had was all the advertising on the home screen. Way too distracting...that was the real reason that I gave up on the Fire TV. I noticed better streaming mentioned above after the fact.

Seemed to be very glitchy, had to return to Amazon and get a new one which ended up having the same picture problems the first one did eventually just gave up and bought the cube, happy with that though

This thing gave me heck upon opening it. The firestick is way better for half the money I think. The internal processors are the same between the two. The only difference between them is the fire tv claims to stream in 4k and the internal gig space is a little bigger thats it. Couldn't install Kodi right away for some reason amongst other apk's unlike the firestick which gave me no problems ever. Really bad buffering and dropped streaming occured often from the fire tv unlike the firestick. DO NOT BUY!

Wife thought we could cancel the satellite service and watch TV for free! Not true at all. Nearly every program requires a "free trial" subscription to watch then they bill you. We have Prime and still not worth it.

The Apple TV 4K and Roku were way better options. They felt a lot more fluid and felt easier to use. It's a nice product as far as voice control, but connectivity, 4K use, and ease of use can be upgraded a little

We only hooked up to Netflix; the movies would continually stop and not come back without starting the movie completely over. We started using the NETFLIX button on our TV remote and this totally was awesome.

No official YouTube app. Can’t get 4K stream for no reason. Verizon fios network. 100% compatible Tv. But sorry . No 4K at all. Very limited language choice. Can’t side load a different language input.

Honestly, I upgraded from the regular fire tv stick and this sis supposed to be clearer and the movies shown in 4K, but I can’t really tell the difference with my tv, even with the fact that it is a 4K tv...
