Performs worse than previous generation

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried it and wouldn't stream shows at 5 bars and had trouble getting 60 fps. Must have decreased processing power. My first gen FireTV box outperformed this thing. Returned and replaced with refurbed previous gen FireTV box -- worked great. Disappointed in this product.

Going backwards

It no longer has the option of a LAN connection, only WIFI. So if you don't have a good speed or good router, leave this thing on the shelf and get a Nvidia shield instead!

It's ok

At least mine did not. Unit runs hot for such a small device. Sold it for 20 dollars. I end up purchasing an apple TV 4th gen and never looked back.

Worked for 2 weeks then stopped working

Made watching impossible. Luckily Best Buy allowed me to exchange for a new one. Hope 2nd one works for more than 2 weeks.

Not worth it extra price over Firestick

Didnt recognize voice. Wouldn't tune to channels correctly, which defeated the purpose. Decided to go with Plan B : Fire TV and Echo. Was generally satisfied, still some channel recognition problems. Couldn't control my sound so I still had to use my Harmony remote. Now, two months in and when using Fire TV, gives me a big black box on TV preventing me from seeing content. I have just plain firesticks on my other TVs and don't have these problems. Dont give yourself the headache, save yourself the money. Plus I dont really the difference in the picture on my HDTV.
