I found the Firestick kept overheating and the interface was generally laggy. The Fire TV interface while being the same is much faster and way less painful to use. Still no ability to play movies locally without having to use PlayOn. Even getting Plex installed is a pain which wouldn't be necessary if it had the ability to natively play videos on shared storage.

Hands down the best out there. You can not only access every streaming option out there, but you can sideload just about anything. It gets no better than this. And...4k!

A great accessory for any smart tv, this media device boasts a large selection of capable apps presented in such a compact form. A must get for media driven homes.

I got this to upgrade from the regular HD firestick and it was worth it. You can see the quality difference in the picture and loads faster.

I thought this device would be better than my fire stick which take longer to respond sometimes. But this is actually a bad purchase because all the video I'm trying to play on it keep getting cut, problem that I do not have my fire stick. I'm disappointed. Fire stick is actually better.

This is Great! I’m glad I bought this instead of upgrading my Apple TV to the 4K version. A LOT cheaper, and surprisingly easy to add apps. I Love this thing!!!

Let me start by saying I went from a 1st Gen stick to this and just wow. It runs so smooth, love the 4k library and Alexa feature.would give 5 stars but personally I hate that it jus hangs out of my TV. Great product overall!

Firestick is just as good but if you need more memory get the box

Works just fine. Fast and shows well. Just wish it has more memory but doesn't take away from the beauty and crisps screen.

I like this a lot better than the fire stick because my Sony TV has the HDMI plug ins right next to each other and the fire stick was so bulky it took up 3 slots. This fits perfectly into one HDMI slot. I get all the same channels in better quality reception. Good product.

I've had both previous generations of the Fire TV Stick (original w/o Alexa and then the 2nd gen w/ Alexa), which were both very slow to initially load your home screen, navigate between apps, and then actual app performance such as when using DirecTV NOW. This is a huge improvement, possibly because of the additional HDD or RAM and while not quite as good as my Apple TV (non-4K), is very close to performance and at a fraction of Apple's cost, especially if you can find it on sale, as I did a few weeks ago. No regrets, as DTV NOW runs much smoother and tunes to channels much quicker.

I replaced the original FireTv box with this, as the original, wouldn't access Directv Now, and it does that and there are more apps and seems easier to use.

Great for streaming cable from your tv provider to other TVs

The Fire TV is out of this world. 1-stop shop for a diverse array of television programming. Hands down better than satellite or cable TV and much cheaper. Gave up my $90.00 basic satellite contract for a $30.00 internet service. A win win situation for my wallet.

Best stream device for the money really easy to setup just need an amazon account 2 minutes to set up lots of options for stream Amazon prime Netflix etc really fast device and takes mi wifi internet really good
