aT TIMES I THINK ITS GREAT BUT THEN I REMEBER ITS ONLY 8GB AND THAT IT WILL KEEP RESTARTING CERTAIN APPS AND CAN BE SLOW AT TIMES AND I HAVE TO BUY ETHERNET ADAPTER

You can't beat the Fire TV with 4K for an inexpensive way to stream 4K content. Easy to use, and quality menu.

Having used ROKU, the regular FireTV stick, and Apple TV - all of which work OK (don't like the AppleTV remote at all)... Bought 2 of these. The FireTV 4K unit works the best of all these streaming TV devices. Also got the Ethernet adapter cable ($14) for a direct router connection location of one of these. The other location is used with WIFI - works great.

I have two ROKU 4K boxes...which have had their issues...so I was excited to get my new Fire TV with 4K/HDR capability. well....I will be taking this box back. As you know, there is really no tech support for Amazon products other than their help page which really is just hints and tips.. no forum, no tech support phone number. SO..here is what I experienced...I have two 4K/HDR TV's.. one Samsung and a brand new Sony. On the Samsung, the HDR brightness was turned on 100% of the time, no matter what content I was playing...Amazon Video, Netflix etc. as a result, the picture on NON-HDR content looked washed out and over-bright. On the Sony, the HDR brightness was off when watching the intro or menu screen. BUT..when I actually watched a 4K or 4K/HDR movie on either Amazon or Netflix...the picture would look great fo about 2 seconds, the HDR brightness would turn off and the picture would be very dim. THE HDR brightness signal going to the TV comes from the video source... both my ROKU Ultimate and ROKU 4 have no issues telling the TV's when to turn the brightness up or down. SO...I am staying with ROKU for now... By the way..the Fire TV integrated well with Alexa and I could control the Amazon programming with just voice, but had to use a combination of voice and remote when viewing Netflix. So, if you have a NON-HDR TV...the Fire TV probably works fine and is a good buy for $70

Bought to possibly rid of cable, too aggravating to use, when you’re in a hurry. Easy to install, not too thrilled with the product though. Simply not for me.

I have an earlier Fire TV unit that I love, but this little HDMI attached device works like a champ! I like the fact that I can power the unit via one of the USB ports on my TV; make everything nice and clean with the TV connections. Unit is fast, very responsive. I will be buying a couple more of these. And I was originally a Roku fanboy, but Amazon has converted me.

Great if you’re a prime member. Excellent video quality. I like the interface, but does have some ads which can turn people off. Still easy to use.
