Also gave a few to my son's. But, when I set this up ... I was floored. This item takes the Fire TV experience to the next level. I love it. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys entertainment.

We are not really tech savy people but it’s very easy to use plus with our Samsung smart tv we only need 1 remote. Now we stream everything and are saving lots of money by not having cable.

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fairly simple to use, might be more difficult to navigate for older generations as the buttons are small but the Alexa voice is a definite plus for them (but doesn't seem to work in apps). I downloaded the Firetv app and use my phone as a controller instead.

Good way to watch favorite shows and movies

And if you don't have time to finish watching you can always go back and continue watching it. Just like having a DVD player but instead using remote and tv only. I really enjoy this item.

It doesn't stick out and can be tucked nicely behind your TV. This Fire TV has 4K capabilities and can be used to stream TV services like DirecTV Now, so if you are looking to cut the cord, this is certainly a viable option.
