I decided to buy this basic Kindle as my first e-reader, and I'm SO glad that I did! It does everything that you expect from Kindle, and the battery lasts forever. For the price, you can't beat it.

The Kindle is a great product, battery last a week, reading around 2-3 hrs per day. The brightness is great, obviously it willing never be comparable to a paper book, yet the experience is great.

I could never read the screen on my Android tablets in daylight. This reader works perfectly for daylight reading even in direct sunlight. Touch screen is a welcome addition that our old Kindle's didn't have

Best Buy had the item I wanted in stock when the other place didn’t. And, bonus, it cost less at Best Buy. The kindle itself is great for the price. It’s literally the least expensive kindle available, so if you’re looking for something more responsive then get the next level up. But this one does the job.

I purchased this Kindle for my wife. She has a few Kindle books she would like to have available while she's waiting for appointments. This reader is compact and fits into her purse easily.

Convenient and light weight. I have the Kindle Fire and syncing the two isn’t happening Don’t know if it’s me or the readers. That aside it’s my go to “book” whenever I’m away from home Excellent price. Easy on the eyes. Print size and background excellent. I’m glad I got it

My wife loves the paper-white version so she can easily read day or night. Amazing battery life and good quality, but I would still recommend a good case or sleeve for protection.

First time purchasing one of these was pleasanly aurpised by the quality. The back light on it as well as its lightness is excelent for night time reading.

super light weight and can read outside in the sun with no screen/glare/lighting problems. I wish it came with a case but it is small and thin and lightweight. Perfect.

Got this on a great sale. Screen is clear and the brightness settings are great for night reading. Easy on the eyes compared to using a phone or iPad even in night mode. Only reason for 4 stars is that the transitions are not smooth.

Bought this as a gift for my mom. The backlight is the best advantage you could get from reading devices and I guess this is the best of its kind. I have one for myself and read from it all the time.

I love my Kindle!!! It does lag every now and then but I still love it! I would also recommend the kindle unlimited that's $9.99 a month.

It’s a great and lightweight way to carry around all the reading material you desire. This is my 3rd kindle and most likely won’t be my last.

I’m an avid reader, but it seems the only time I have to actually read is right before bed. This is perfect as a cheap alternative to using your phone or tablet.
