After years of owning a Kindle Fire, I decided that I wanted something lighter and easier to hold/carry without the battery drain that Fires are notorious for. Additionally, I used the extras on the Fire so rarely that simple sounded perfect, and thankfully this checked every box. Since I was also in need of something quickly (the electrician was scheduled the next day for service work, which meant no power for several hours) I was very happy to see that my local Best Buy had them in stock. Best decision ever! For my first kindle this has helped me read so much more. I love the size and the battery lasts forever! I barely ever charge it.

I love the backlight option. Setting to 0 gives you that paper readung experience. Is your overhead light a little too dim? Add some backlight! Super easy on the eyes and I love the small size.

Another surprise gift for someone. It brought them a lot of pleasure to be able to read a lot of books. Great battery, good size.

This is an excellent kindle bought it almost two years ago and still working great and holds it's charge very while.

I love my Kindle it is such a good purchase. I love being able to bring my whole digital library with me everywhere I go. Amazon gave me a hard time removing the ads. Best Buy doesn’t tell you there will be ads on it, and Amazon charges a fee to remove the ads. I should have been told about that before purchase. That’s the only issue I had with my kindle. Once I argued with Amazon to remove the ads, the kindle became my favorite thing in the world. No complaints.

I absolutely love my Kindle! Im always finding new books to read and it so much more practical to carry around.

This item is perfect size and easy to use! The graphics are great considering its black and white. Worth the price!

I got this for my husband for his second deployment after he gave me his original one from his first deployment because I read so much and he got annoyed with my book light at night. Well I couldn’t give him back his original because the next year he got me a new oasis which I love and I gifted the original paper white to a friend who then got herself a new one later on and then gifted the original to ANOTHER one of our friends so the original had become The Sisterhood of the Traveling Kindle while I got my husband this new one that he is now using during this second deployment which will inevitably end up being my purse kindle.

I love the portability of it. It's so lightweight too.
