This is a very nice reader, however I had to return it. It was very awkward to hold.

Very nice screen. But sadly the ergonomics is atrocious. The slippery aluminum back requires a tight grip. Forget about reading in bed and this is just such an awkward design. I opted for the Paperwhite but wished I had gotten the KOBO.

Maybe I’ve been spoiled by how smooth my phones and tablets are, because while I love reading the display the scrolling is slow and clunky.

Battery goes dead 24 hours after a full charge when not in use. Can’t figure out who to work with to resolve. This was not a cheap Kindle. Very disappointed in both product and customer service.

Kindle Oasis is a great e reader. I like the slightly bigger display and it is easy to hold. I also like being able to turn pages without having to touch the screen. It is too big to fit in a jeans side pocket but easy to fit into any size computer carrying bag or backpack.

The shape of this kindle is just weird -too square to be held without falling out of your hand It is unbalanced and needs something to hang on to Kept thinking it was going to fall out of my hand

This is my third Kindle and by far the best I've ever owned. Two things immediately appealed to me and made me want to upgrade from my Paperwhite: the larger screen size and the page turning buttons. I missed the buttons from my original Kindle keyboard. Having actual buttons makes it a much better experience as I can easily turn pages while reading in bed without using a second hand to push the screen to turn the page. The larger screen size also improves the reading experience and makes pictures much better to look at since they can be enlarged to fit the screen. Battery life on mine has been more than acceptable. I read about 30 minutes/day and I charge my Oasis about every 5 weeks. I do have Bluetooth turned off which I know improves battery life. Others have complained about the short battery life, but they never indicate how long they're reading before they need to charge. Don't let other's complaints about battery life dissuade you from getting this e-reader.

Awful product. Experimental brouser didnt work,returned right away. I dont think its OK to sell product with experimental brouser.

Previously had a Kindle Voyage. This is much nicer, easier to hold, and pages flip faster.

I love this so far only downside is you can not read and listen at the same time. Its one or the other. Battery life is poor. 50% drained on stanby in under a week. Lasts better if you keep wifi bluetooth off

No complaints. Got it in sale for a great price. It could be a little faster in response. Screen is great, comfortable to hold.

Great kindle. Perfect size had it since 2019. The scribe is too big and heavy.

Managed to destroy my 4yr old Voyage which I loved (don't drop your device into the side of a recliner and recline!!!) While I find the Oasis' display excellent, and by switching the button operations to turn pages made that easier, there is an unforgivable flaw with this reader...it slips out of your hand while reading. Unless, that is, you want to constantly apply pressure while holding, or place a finger under the device-too uncomfortable. I thought I could eventually adjust to this design error, but WHO thought that a slippery surface would make for an enjoyable reading experience. I suppose I could have stuck some material on the back of the reader, but that didn't look right. Since I am in the two week window to return the device, I was still unsure, but today, when I noticed the exceptionally high battery usage ( about 10% in less than an hour of reading, over several intervals) and called Kindle help, I was told I needed to update the software. However, while on line, we were unable to have this happen. The representative suggested that I could download the file to a computer and transfer the file to my Kindle. That was the last straw. I will be returning this Oasis on Saturday and try tohe newPaperwhite. I really miss my Voyage (*RIP*)

I've owned almost every Kindle that has been made (excluding the first),and I must say that this is the most disappointing yet. The company claims that it has to be charged every week or so. I've had mine for four days, and so far I've had to charge mine three times. I don't use Audible, but I would imagine that for those who do, it would be nice to listen to something while you look at your device. They have also touted that this prouduct is waterproof and can be read in the bathtub or jacuzzi. That's true, but what they don't tell you is that if the screen gets wet, the water dropplets will cause the pages to turn unexpectedly (very annoying.) I don't usually write reviews, but this product is really poorly thought out, and for the price you'd think they'd put more effort into it. All in all, it's the awful battery life that's causing me to return this product. It does however make for an excellent paperweight, but then again, at $249 that's one expensive paperweight.
