She's had a Kindle since the very first Fire (that I also bought for her), but lately the backlight has been bothersome to her. She really likes the more passive lighting - it really does look like paper. I need to try it for myself!

Out of all the generations of Kindles you can change the font, the margins, and dim the lights!! I Love the fact that it’s waterproof, now I can read while floating in the pool, no worries of kids splashing! I wish they would make having color a standard thing. Oh, and no ads!

My daughter loves having her collection of books all in one device. She gets through books faster now on the Kindle compared to before when she was reading physical books.
