The Kindle Paperwhite does not have built-in text-to-speech or speakers, but you can listen to Audible audiobooks by pairing Bluetooth headphones or speakers—go to Settings > Bluetooth & Wireless, pair your device, and access your Audible library. For text-to-speech that reads Kindle books aloud, you'll need the Kindle app on a Fire tablet, Echo device, or smartphone with the "Read Aloud" feature, or a Fire tablet with VoiceView screen reader enabled, which may better suit your accessibility needs. It’s a weird grey color that kind of messes with your eyes no color to it . Idk if it turns off or not because it didn’t appear to have a way to turn it off .

While it is convenient once you get the book downloaded, it is slow going trying to find what you want and get it downloaded. I was expecting a lot more out of this product. It is definitely not worth the price.

I bought to use on the library app Libby. Mistake! Got to go to library site, borrow, send to kindle. Too many steps needed. Cannot read magazines from the Libby site on my kindle. Have to keep using my small phone.
