This is my second Kindle Paperwhite. I lost my first one at the airport in India and wanted to replace it as soon as I got back. Best Buy was having a sale on it, so it was a no-brainer. The Paperwhite interfaces with the lost one, so I have all the books I had loaded onto that one and I've bought more since. This is a must for travel: you can carry a library in your left hand. The text is clear, clean, and crisp, with no distortion or glare. The downside is that the photographs (in those books that have them) aren't as clear.

So glad to no longer be lugging around multiple books on extended travels. I can read my kindle and still feel like I am "unplugging!"

The screen is cool. Much better than the basic kindle. Very similar to the kindle voyage. If you want a really reading experience, you need a kindle.

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. Lighter in weight, no glare. The white background is easier to read than the previous model she had.

It’s one of my favorite devices! Has a great back light so I can read in the dark, and is affordable, so I can spend more money on books!

This is a perfect tablet for reading brooks as it is possible to do so at night, during the day, even in direct sun light! A great ebook reader!

Nothing can replace the feeling of holding and reading a physical copy of a book, but Amazon Kindle definitely is the next best substitute...

It is as easy to read as a real book, the battery lasts seemly forever, perfect for travel and every day reading. A must have for readers.

The biggest reason to buy this item is the convenience and battery life. On those two items the kindle delivers. It is not as paper white as I would like. It does lag a bit but overall if you are a book lover this will be a good add on for trips and when you want to read outside.

Good to read outdoors, indoors, and in low light as well.
