Love the Kindle. It even works great in the sun. With Kindle unlimited you also have access to many different books.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for the wife. She loves it great on the eyes not to bright and extremely easy to use.

This is a really great device, it's easy to use and see and of course comes without annoying advertisements. One really bad thing is that you can't upload your own books to the cloud thus making it a totally monopolistic device, the DRM is a real pain, wouldn't recognize books from my old reader bad Amazon! They are my books, I should be able to read them anywhere I like. Way too much messing to get access to my own property! Store and archive on your own server or PC and it's great though, but not everyone can set that up, nor should they have to! A monopoly device that tries it's hardest to only allow you to purchase from Amazon, is this legal?

normally I have been using the Kindle app on my phone but this device is really easy on the eyes and is pleasure to use.

I actually had the non-backlight Kindle prior to this and returned it and got this instead. Definitely worth it

edge could be wider to make it easier to hold. other then that a very good product.

Paper white is worth every penny! I was upgrading from the regular kindle to this and noticed that my eyes are more relaxed...

This is a replacement for a Voyager that i sat on. Was disappointed that Best Buy nl olonger carried the Kindle Voyager

Bought it especially for my trip to Hawaii. Small enough to fit in purse/carry on. Was great to have on the beach.

The lighting of the Paperwhite did not present any issues with glare - easy on eyes, even while wearing sunglasses outdoors.

Great reader, light, good size, very easy on eyes, nice battery life. If primary use is as a reader, can't beat Paperwhite.

The text is easier to read and I don't have to have a light in order to read when the room light is dim or if it is dark.

Performs just as I wanted. very pleased, would recommend this to others.

Works as intended. Great inexpensive reader very convenient for reading at home or traveling when don't have the extra space for books. The kids & I both use it and I can separate our books so they're not mixed together. The only downside is the lack of color, but I knew this going in - it's not the fault of the product. We lose out a little bit by not being able to see the color illustrations and book covers. When getting my kids to read, the colorful covers is often what draws them in.

I purchased this device as a gift and I got a positive review from many sources. It is good for the eyes and does what it is intended for. Price could be little bit cheaper, other wise there is no complain amazon kindle has a lot of source for books

I have an older reader from another company that is not as lightweight as this, so I really appreciate the weight difference in this one. Definitely makes it easier to hold in my hand for longer periods. I also like the bright screen and the fact that it can adjust brightness depending on lighting conditions, and that it has backlighting for night reading. When we travel, we usually drive, so having something I can read when I'm not driving, even at night, is a definite advantage. The only thing I've found so far that I'm not crazy about is that when it changes from one screen to the next, it does this little "blink" thing where the screen blanks out before it refreshes with the new image. I find it a little distracting (my other reader doesn't do it), but I'm guessing it's something I'll get used to over time.

feels like paper back and easy to read no feye fatigue noted like the ones you get looking at your phone for hours!
