As title says, the paperwhite is very easy on the eyes compared to reading in a tablet or phone

Nice and easy to carry with you. The battery's life is very good and you do not need to recharge for the next 7 days

Unlike my Kindle 2nd generation which requires an external light to read, the Paperwhite can be used in the dark.

Very convenient way to obtain reading materials, display is clear and easy to use even in direct sunlight. Did find it very slippery and took extra precautions not to drop it.

Love the backlit book! It is taking some getting used too. I have a hard time getting the books on it.

This is my 2nd kindle. I had a 2nd generation. The paper white screen clarity is excellent and it's very light.

The paper white feels kinda like real paper. The page is clear and bright. I love to read at night. It's awesome

Bought this for my Europe trip and for reading on trains. Easier and better than reading on my phone.

I had bought one for myself and loved it. Just bought this one for my mom and she can not put it down.

It's a kindle, at this point, it is basically a utility and not an electronic gizmo. It works with all the regular libraries that I am a member of. The paperwhite is the best value proposition. Yes, it does show advertisements when you aren't reading but, well, you aren't reading, so who cares what it shows, as long as it saves you $20 over a version that doesn't show any ads?

Last kindle just stopped charging. Hope this one does better.

Got this for my daughter as a reader for her college courses. Works fine, but somewhat pricy IMO.

Awesome little toy, back light eases up the use at night but also does not affect screen quality in sun light.

Bought the Kindle for my daughter, best thing I did, she dont put it down she's constantly reading !!!!

This was a replacement for my son who's original kindle broke. He likes it a lot. Just wish we could figure out how to get all the old content we had bought from the old one into the new one.
