Aside from being about the only eink readers still available, the Amazon Kindle series of readers offer bang for the buck, and features that you don't know you need. The Paperwhite reader is great in sunlight, in a lit room, or even in a darkened room. The available Kindle books offer a tremendous variety of genres and titles for a low cost. And with shareware converters like calibre, classics available through public domain are all there to be read. If you love books, then this is for you.

I got this for my X'mas gift for myself. It is good up to now. Very easy to carry and eyes don't feel tired after reading.

Kindle, has been the go to for many ereader addicts. I am an avid reader of books, being a tourist I travel long distances by flight. In a scenario, where you're limited to weight in luggage, this device carries tons of books in a software format that not only give room to my other stuff, but I can never run out of it. The battery life is amazing. A must have for anyone who has some few hours to kill on an average everyday. Totally worth every penny.

I loved the kindle. I'm reading a lot more books now. The battery in this thing lasts for ever. The text is very easy to read and it's awesome having so many books in something that weighs less than a single small book. Reading on this is the dark was no problem - no eye strain at all.

I had an original Kindle and wasn't sure if I would care for this upgrade. WOW! What a pleasant surprise...it has exceeded my expectations. The size is a perfect fit for me. And readability is off the charts! I love to read and can't put this down. The ease of use is amazing. I highly recommend.

I used to use iPad as a reader, but my eye got tired easily. Kindle just like the book, and the battery can last longer.

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is still the king of e-readers. I have an older version that I still enjoy and it was time to bring another Kindle into the house because of my fiancee. She loves the experience that the Kindle Paperwhite gives for the same reason I do, it eliminates a lot of glare and closely imitates an actual book. This a perfect creation that combines the classic experience of reading a book with the modern convenience of a tablet. A+ Amazon, A frickin' +.

It is very light in weight and easy to carry around. The back light and word wise features are cool.

I love my kindle. I prefer this to the fire because I only want it for books not applications and I can read this screen in the sunlight. The battery life is good and even better if I turn the WiFi off. I'm very happy with my purchase.

As an e-reader it works fine. But it's not the fastest CPU, so sometimes when you tap the top for menu or try to highlight a word, it can take up to 3 secs. Not the end of the world, but coming from a smartphone, it'll feel a bit laggy. Other than that, you can easily download library books to it, so great for that! I I'm not sure I like the backlight. On brighter settings, it's pretty unbearable. On lower settings it doesn't really look great, but a feature if you want to read in the dark. I find that turning off the backlight and just reading it in regular light or room light is better.

The Paperwhite is an excellent eReader. It's easy to use, has good battery power and is a good weight and size.

Honestly better than I had anticipated. I have never before owned an ebook so I wasn't sure what to expect. The battery life is great, it is very easy to read and the adjustable backlight makes a world of difference. Easy to use interface as well. Very happy with this purchase.
