It is a replacement for one which was almost 5 years old when the built-in light stopped working. I used it constantly, for hours every day, carried it in my purse all the time, and traveled with it. I will not be without a Kindle. Replacing it was a foregone conclusion but I still read the reviews, just in case. :)

Perfect replacement of a book, thinner lighter

Have stopped using my tablet for reading, this is easier on the eyes. Books download in a second. I always have several books ready, so as soon as I finish one book I can start a new one, hard to do with a paperback.
