The Kindle is great for traveling. I down load a few books and I'm set for a week of relaxation. It's not great for reference and instruction type books where I like to be able to quickly flip back and forth between parts of the book. For these I'll still buy real books.

There is a reason the Kindle is the best e-Reader around. Easy to use, great battery life, super portable. The ability to sync with your Amazon account and Kindle Unlimited is a bonus. Would go with the new waterproof version if I could buy it again, however.

In the last eight years, I have purchased nine Kindles from Best Buy. I am currently on my third one, and I have bought the others for members of my family. I can’t imagine having any other brand of e-reader or purchasing them from any place other than Best Buy!

The Paperwhite is certainly better than the regular Kindle, primarily due to the back lighting feature. If you buy a Kindle eReader, this would be the one to buy. You could spend more for the higher end models but there's really no need. The main issue with this eReader is the smudge effect at the bottom of the screen. I tried two Paperwhites and both had the same issue. Perhaps this is just how they are.

Very happy with this purchase which replaced a 3rd generation unit. Much easier on the eyes and very responsive to the touch. Takes a little to get used of the page foward/backward on this device but no big deal. The Reviews on Best Buy site were very instrumental in making this purchase.

I was looking for a reader so I wouldn't have to take all my books with me when I travel. This one is perfect for me

The backlight in the Kindle is definitely a good add as it is helpful to read without distributing others.

I really enjoy the bright back light of the kindle, it really helps in dark lit rooms without causing eye strains

The device itself is an excellent design specifically for reading. Took care of the constant eye strains from reading on my iPhone. Started on a Kindle device probably 10 years back that I wore out before a litany of other devices. Glad I went back. Here’s the confusing part. Logging on BestBuy it tells me I bought a 2015 device. My understanding was this is a new release from this month. Key features 300dpi and waterproof. Kind of makes me angry.

I really like it, but I am still within my first month of using it. I love the e-ink and can read in direct sunlight. I love the white version and put skins on it immediately to maintain the new clean look of it. My only gripe is that the battery doesn't show the percentage remaining. Maybe they can enable this during a firmware update? I am an Amazon Prime member, so there are a lot of books that I read on Amazon and it's usually cheaper than the hard copy.

What a wonderful gift. The Kindle is way to take your library with you wherever you go. We spend a lot of time waiting for things to happen in life. The kindle is a wonderful way to fill dead time by escaping into a world of imagination and making your down time meaningful.

Traveling in coach is horrible, so I was looking for a small light weight dedicated device that allowed me to focus on reading. This product is perfection. I've read several books on various iPhones, including my 7+ over the years, but they're nothing like the paper white display.

I have a kindle, but I purchased this one because it is smaller and there is no glare. I love it at the beach!

I like this E-Reader. It does seem to scratch pretty easily on the bezel. Battery life is awesome. Recommend:)

Great Item, I read in the dark without strain and never disturb my wife's sleep, User friendly and durable. I've not been a reader until now, have several books but it's at night when I have time to read but have to have a light on, This has been the Game Changer. Two Thumbs Up!!!!

I spilled water on my previous paperwhite and immediately purchased this replacement from best buy online. I was very surprised and happy they still sold this older model. I am not a huge fan of the newest version of the paperwhite.

My wife brought this for me as a gift. It was probably the best thing she could have gotten me. I read roughly 150 books a year and the convience our holding a bulky book is no match. I like the idea of having just about everything that I want to read at my fingertips.

Lightweight & easy to handle. Only downfall so far is screen is twitchy when moving between home & library etc.

Perfect for a beginner. Difficult to hold up while reading in bed as the back shell is very slick. Great value though.
