I don't know why I waited so long to purchase one!! I like that I can check out books from the library, and don't have to worry about not getting them returned late.

Just upgraded my first gen kindle to the paper white. Love having a built in light - it’s not nearly as obtrusive as the booklight I had with my old kindle

My wife has an older paperwhite that still functions very well. We decided to get this one for my daughter because she's a book worm. It's worked great and she loves it.

I purchased this Kindle Paperwhite to read books when at the pool or beach, etc. (My tablet is hard to see in the full sunlight. It overheats and will quickly cut-off.) This kindle is great for what I wanted it for!! Only, there are not many setting options and they are difficult to find.

Wife had the earlier version without the light. This one does the job and lets me go to sleep while she reads. Best money I ever spent to get out of the dog house.

Bought the paperwhite as a gift for my son. He wanted it for reading as he did not need all of the other apps found on the other Kindle products. He really likes it.

My kindle paper white is great. I can easily read at night. I can read with smaller print than my previous kindle. I wish it had come with folder to hold it.

I am studying for my MA and the amount of books that this decree is going to require will be increditable. This alleviates me from having to buy more book cases.

My first electronic reader and found it to be much better than reading from a book. Everything is easier. Best is the built in light and dictionary.

I wanted to avoid the excessive blue light created by I-Pads, phones, and other color electronic devices. This lets me read right up till bedtime with no problems.

This is a good ereader. Much less eye strain than reading on my tablet. It's easy to download books from my local library. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the size. I would really like the screen to be just a bit bigger.

Needed a set of cheap speakers for a secondary computer. Couldn't get much cheaper and to my surprise they were easy to install and the sound quality is wonderful.

had to return becasue there was a dead pixel in the screen, the second one had one in another spot but the 3rd one it perfect and amazing for reading

Bought this Kindle for my teenage daughter and she absolutely loves it! She is able to read outside in the sunshine and at night in the dark. Very easy to navigate.

I'm an avid reader....I have 7 different Kindles including the Oasis and Voyage. The Paperwhite quickly became my favorite! The battery life is outstanding!!!

I have had several Kindles (they don't last super long before breaking) and love reading on them. My only complaint is that they aren't very durable and tend to break after about 2 years of regular use. Being that they aren't super expensive, it's not a huge deal, but bit enough to not earn 5 stars.

My wife has a regular tablet but screen is not good for outside reading at the beach or pool. Got her theKindle Paperwhite and she is thrilled. Great purchase!

I have really enjoy this new kindle. I have the older version and this was a great upgrade. It is very good on my eyes and it is also great for night/bed reading
