Was using the Kindle app on my phone and running the battery down and dealing with glare. Paperwhite resolves both these issues. Not a real book…better.

I purchased this for a Christmas gift for my wife. She uses it every night before bed. The light is great to see the pages without waking me up. A++

I love my kindle paper White, you can read it in Sunlight, and you can also read it in the dark, Battery lasts for days. I recommend this product

Bottom LED lighting is a bit uneven, and a bit distracting, but the overall package is otherwise excellent for reading, and without all the tempting distractions on a conventional tablet, so one can really focus on reading. The 300ppi is really crucial for images and especially maps and diagrams.

I bought this Kindle Paperwhite because my existing Kobo Vox e-reader could not be read in the sun, which I get a lot of in Naples, FL. Excellent e-reader!

Bought the kindle for my daughter and it's has been wonderful to help define words as she is going. It is also nicely compact for easy travel from place to place.

It would be nice if it had a text list of books, like my old kindle. The cover graphics are too small to read. This is the only reason for four stars, and not five. Other than that, I like this better because of the great resolution and contrast, as well as the built in LED's for reading at night.

It is the perfect way to read a box on a road trip and it is not to hard on your eyes. I only wish you could had more then 6 books at onces

can download books from public library to kindle daughter to read. Great if you want to encourage reading while limiting internet access.

I purchased this Kindle for a young friend in a nursing home that was reading books on his phone. He is thrilled to have an easier way to read!

I do most of my E-reading when we travel. I always used my I Pad, but finally replaced that with the Kindle (for reading). Nice to be able to read in the sunlight, which is not possible with the IPad. The light is also not as harsh as the IPad when reading at night. So now I travel with both.

As a ebooker reader this is absolutely best in the market right now, very easy to use. Now the only downside is the feeling of touch screen is too rough.

I absolutely LOVE my Kindle Paperwhite. I literally use it everyday. It is perfect for reading both indoor and outdoor. I would be lost without it.

I tend to read at night before bed and the paperwhite allows me to do that without over simulating me, allowing my eyes to slowly tire and fall asleep.
