Best Way To Read

My eyes weren't great when Truman was President and they are much worse after seven decades of wear. I sometimes read four ir five hours a day. The Paperwhite enables me to choose the size font that is best, make the font bolder and dial in the precise screen brightness/contrast level that works the best. With a large and bold font and a bright screen, reading several hours is a pleasure with zero eye strain. The size, shape and weight of the Paperwhite make it easy and pleasant to hold. Reading 25 or 30 hours a week means the Paperwhite needs to be charged about once a week. It charges quickly using my phone charger. I think it is perfect except for the price. The Amazon Fire tablets sell fir half as much yet likely cost more than the Paperwhite to manufacture.
