Great device. Start to love reading again. My eyes don't feel tired at all.

We have 3 Kindles, all paper white models. They are lighter than the original model with the light on a spring. Both my grandson and I have iPads which we use for internet etc. The Kindles are the best for reading which helps encourage young readers.

I love everything about this reader. The book advertising on the lock screen is so cool in my house, its such a small thing but it makes us smile every time. I do think its kinda weird that it flickers sometimes but after watching product videos I see that its not abnormal. Maybe if I looked it up I'd understand but its not bothersome enough to do so. Overall I would buy this item again no questions asked.

Everything you like about the old one. Backlight is great for bed reading.

I got a kindle and I love the ease of use. It can be used easily at night.

My wife previously had a nook that sadly broke due to an untimely drop. We purchased the paperwhite and she can't say enough positive things about it. She loves how quickly it connect with an author and the other books they've written. The light doesn't keep her up all night, but she can read without having to have all the lights on so at least I can get some rest. We highly recommend the Kindle Paperwhite.

it allows you to read in sunlight, other readers do not. It is hard to tell if you have the latest version, as they all look alike.

I LOVE my Kindle! It’s so lightweight, thin, and small I can take it everywhere! I also love all the free books I can get! I use it to read in bed when my husband is sleeping as I don’t have to have a light on and bother him. It’s perfect!

I was looking for just the right e reader for my wife"s birthday. She loves to read in bed before she falls a sleep and her old one did not light up so she would struggle to try and read in the dark and use whatever little beam of light she could to be able to read while I slept and with this one it is not even a problem any more the screen lights up and she can easily read while I am sound a sleep.

You will find detailed reviews of kindle paper white online. I will cover some other general observations, If you send a pdf to your kindle email , it will sync it to your kindle. But the fonts appear small when you open it in kindle paper white and the menu option did not allow me to change font size. You have to convert the pdf to be able to adjust font size. You will be able to convert your existing pdfs by sending a email with "Convert" in subject line and including the attachment and sending it to your kindle email (refer to amazon settings for finding out your kindle email). However it may lose the tables or other code diagrams from the original pdf so that is a pain (varies from pdf to pdf). Also if you are used to ios or android, the page turns are not the same like flipping. when you tap or perform a page flip,It will blink for a sec and refresh the page to move to next page. I found this a little annoying but it works. if you buy a book online then that might be a better option as it will let you read the formatted content correctly. Battery usage is fantastic. Another positive is that the inbuilt lights are not glaring in the dark so you will find reading to be a pleasant experience. They have settings to adjust brightness as well.

This Kindle is awesome! Put off getting one for way too long. Light weight and cute. Fits in a purse or bag and you hardly know it is there. Reading is simple and easy. Downloading books is a breeze! Don't hesitate to get this Kindle. You will love it.
